As Flaro opened his eyes, he only saw a bright light and a few blurry figures surrounding him. The sounds of worried yet slurred speech rushed into his ears. His eyes began adjusting to the light and his hearing slowly came back to him. He saw the girls on his left side and what looked like a doctor on his right. The bright light was coming from a small pen light being shined directly into his eyes. The doctor spoke. "He seems ok, but I'll have to do further examinations on his condition over the next few days. He hit his head pretty hard, and if I had to guess he's probably received a mild concussion. He'll have to stay here for a few days to make sure his symptoms don't worsen." The girls all looked at each other and looked at Flaro. Reyna asked. "Will we be able to visit him?" The doctor spoke reassuringly. "Almost everyday if his condition allows it. Just try not to be too loud near him. He's going to be having migraines for at least a day while he recovers." Elera stared at Flaro's weak state, teared up, and ran off suddenly. Reyna ran after her. "Elera..." Phoenix watched Reyna run off before looking back at Flaro. He was awake, but he looked extremely tired. She carefully put her hand on his head and tried to use her magic. As the magic made its way to Flaro's injury, he winced in pain. Phoenix stopped immediately. She looked at him with guilt and ran off like Elera had. The doctor sat quietly as all of this happened. "They really care about you. You know that right?" Flaro slowly nodded as to not hurt himself. The doctor went over to a drawer and pulled out some sort bottle. It contained small white tablets about the size of a penny. The doctor walked back over to Flaro and helped him take the pill. "This will help numb the symptoms. It will also make you sleepy, but it's not addictive." The doctor walked out of the room and began helping other patients while Flaro laid almost motionless in a soft wool bed. The medicine wouldn't take affect for another hour or so, but Flaro felt the need to close his eyes and rest his body properly.
Elera had been running as far as she could form the bed Flaro was forced to lay in. She had made her way into a small yet dense forest nearby. Tears ran down her face the entire time. Reyna followed close behind her trying to get her to calm down. "Elera, come back! Where are you going? We can talk about this!" Elera didn't respond. She just kept running and running. She never once bothered to look back. She couldn't. It would only make her cry even more. Reyna was slowly gaining on Elera when they had both tripped and tumbled down a small hill. None of them were badly hurt, but Elera didn't feel like running anymore, and Reyna was busy trying to catch her breath. Reyna spoke between breaths. "Where are you even running to?" Elera didn't respond. She just cried into her hands quietly. After regaining her stamina, Reyna made her way to Elera calmly. "What's wrong Elera?" Reyna tried to speak as softly as possible. "You know what's wrong..." Reyna had flash backs to a few minutes prior to the chase where they were all carrying Flaro off of the boat and to a clinic once they had arrived at Greyshore. "You heard what the doctor said. Flaro should be fine in the next few days. We'll even be able to visit him." Elera didn't bother to look at Reyna. "Even if he was fine with me visiting him, I can't stand to see him in his current state. Not after what I did." Reyna tried hugging Elera. "It's not your fault. Nobody blames you for what happened. Especially Flaro." Elera broke out of Rayna's hug and took a few steps away from her before turning around and looking at her, her face filled with rage filled with rage. "How do you know that?! How could you possibly know that?! Flaro is in pain because I couldn't hold onto him long enough! I don't care if nobody is blaming me! It's still my fault hes in pain! Mine!" Reyna tried to calm Elera down while keeping herself calm. "Elera please. You don't have to-" Elera interjected. "Don't have to what, huh? Don't have to feel guilty? Don't have to blame myself because it was something I couldn't control? Is that it?" Reyna just continued where she left off. "You don't have to run away. Flaro only has a mild concussion. The doctor knows more about this than we do. They say Flaro will be fine. He just needs time to rest." Elera was still fuming. "You don't understand why I'm making such a big deal out of this. You'll never understand. Not the way I do." "Then why not enlighten me?" Elera calmed herself down enough to explain her anger. "This whole scene feels to familiar to something I haven't even told you before." She muttered under her breath. "I hate talking about this..." Reyna asked. "What haven't you told me?" Elera continued. "You know my abusive family. You didn't know that I had an older sister. She was my only friend when I was living with my father. She was my only real family then. When I was old enough, my father tried to use me for my powers. My sister tried to keep me from him to protect me. My father eventually got tired of my sister getting in the way and started abusing her. Slapping her. Locking her up in her room for days on end. Beating her to the ground right infront of me. One day, while my sister was protecting me, my father had lost it. He hit her straight to the ground in one punch and continued beating her until she spat up blood and was unconscious. She looked just like how Flaro does now. And I'm just as useless as I was when they needed me. For my sister, I froze in fear. For Flaro, I couldn't hold on tight enough." Reyna, once again, tried to calm Elera with a hug, but Elera growled at her. "Just-! Stay away from me! I need to be by myself... I don't want to hurt anyone else... Especially not you." And with the Elera ran off again, this time in her wolf form. Reyna debated whether or not to chase her down. She ultimately decided it would be best to let Elera calm down on her own and hoped she would eventually come back. Reyna sat on the ground and sighed heavily. She was alone with her thoughts for once and she hated it. She could hear screams ring out in her ears. At first she thought it was from the docks where Fang had dropped them off, but then she realized it was something else...
