Corpse was only comfortable with half measures and Y/N knew this and was fine with it. Yes, it did hurt that sometimes his boyfriend could not return the 'I love yous' but he could get over it, right?
He really truly tried to but every time they had any arguments it was always something he brought up and it was the same thing for this fight.
