The annual bonfire was today. Pogues and kooks gathered in the cut to get drunk together.
Kelce, who's family is one of the richest families on the island, sat down with his two friends near the front of the bonfire.
Y/n sat across from them. She was a pogue. Y/n worked to clean Kelces fathers boat.
Kelce took a few glances at her while he was drinking. He knew she was a pogue and that he had a reputation of hating pogues but there was something different about this girl.
"Truth or Dare?" Topper asked Kelce.
"You already know I'm up for a dare." He answered.
"I dare you to ask that pogue, I think her name is y/n, out on a date." Topper said then smirked.
Kelce pretended to act disappointed but deep down he was happy because he wanted an excuse to ask you out.
"Yo y/n." He called to you.
"Yes?" You looked up at him as he was approaching you.
He took a seat on the log next to you.
"Do you need something?" You asked him.
Kelce cleared his throat and said, "do you have any plans tomorrow?"
You didn't really have any plans tomorrow but you didn't want to seem desperate so you said , "I might. What's your number? I'll let you know tonight if I'm free." He smiled at you and then he pulled out his phone to give you his number.
"Thanks." You said , in a tone that was telling him to leave now but he didn't leave. Kelce sat there taking sips of his drink and taking glances of you.
"Well, if you are free tomorrow, can I take you out?" He asked breaking the silence.
"Kelce, I'd like to but where is all of this coming from? We barely know each other and the last time I checked you hated pogues."
Kelce struggled to find an answer.
"Well maybe I'd like to know you better. Tonight." He smiled at you and you couldn't help to smile back.
"Well I'm y/n. I clean your dads boat for a living." Kelce laughed then nodded.
"I see. I should give you company while you clean sometimes." He added.
You smiled at that but then asked, "Why are you being so nice to me?"
"Like I said, I just want to get to know you better."
"Ok fine. Well I just told you something about myself. It's your turn now."
"Alrighty then," Kelce shrugged, "I'm Kelce, I enjoy fishing I guess, I've been kind of in to reading lately, I'm reading (your favorite book) and-"
You cut him off. "Really? That's my favorite book! Have you gotten to the part where-"
Kelce put his finger to your mouth jokingly and said, "shh don't spoil it for me!"
You spent the rest of night with Kelce and at on point your hands touched a bit and he held your hand, pulling you closer to him.
Kie took you home that night and you got a text from Kelce as soon as you got home.
"Are you home y/n?" Kelce texted.
"Yes"
"Alright just wanted to make sure you got home safely. Night y/n."

Him saying this made you smile. Even though you still didn't understand why he liked you all of a sudden you responded,

"Goodnight Kelce."

The next day you slept in and woke up at 12 pm. You looked at your phone and saw the time.
"Shit." You muttered.
Along with that you had 5 texts from Kelce.
"Morning y/n. Will you be available at 1?"
You responded saying yes and got ready.
Kelce came earlier at 12:30.
He knocked at your door and you came running down.
When you opened the door Kelce looked you up and down.
"Wow, y/n, you look amazing." Kelce said and took your hand.
"Thanks. Same for you."
You got in to his car. It was one of those expensive vintage cars that you couldn't name because of how long it was.
"What do you have planned today?" I asked him.
"Just wait and see." We parked at the lake and a yacht was parked there.
Kelce got on the yacht first so he could help me up.
When I got up Kelce said , "welcome aboard."

Kelce had a whole meal prepared for you.
"Our chef made this chicken last night sorry if it's cold."
You almost spit out your food when he said "his chef". You thought only people in the movies had their own personal chef.

At the end of your lunch, Kelce stopped for a moment and looked at you.
"I had a lot of fun today." You told him.
"Me too," Kelce said. "Y/n I have a question for you."
You nodded and then what Kelce said absolutely surprised you.
"Will you be my girlfriend." You stood up and hugged him.
"Of course I will."
Kelce kissed you then your forehead.
He thought to himself how lucky he was and how this all started with a dare.
