Suzune: I know where that is. Let's go!

Alongside her, we ran towards the door and left the academy.

The three of us, although grudgingly, decided to work together for the sake of the entire team.

Kei: So where is it?!

Suzune: My brother took me there when we were little. I think he accounted for it. It's a little shack located in the woods closest to the leaf village.

Kei: Are you sure we can exit the village?

Wait. For once, Kei brought up a useful topic to mind. As genin and still not being issued a mission, we have no grounds to leave the village. Which means that we'll be leaving illegally, therefore breaking shinobi rule.

Me: We can't leave the village.

Kei: What?! Why not?

Me: Because it goes against the rules of the leaf village. We need to be given a mission in order to exit.

Suzune: You are right.

Kei: But that doesn't make sense?! Why would he give us a map and make us do all of this if we weren't suppose to do it?

Me: It could be a red herring.

Kei: A what?!

Suzune: Stop yelling, we're here.

We reached the gate of the village and saw there was no shinobi to speak of around us.

Kei: Alright let's go!

Me: I'm not going.

Kei looked around and smirked.

Kei: So you still think it's a trick, you idiot! We have to do this by the end of the day!

Me: It's most likely a trick itself to undergo this entire test. No matter how strong or powerful he is, the rules of the village are sacred and are held to the highest authority.

Kei: You know what?! Fine, you want to stay here so much, just stay right there! I'll do this with Suzune!

As she walked outside, Suzune stayed back.

Suzune: I-I'll be staying back too.

Kei was angry as I sat down on a log and took out my journal.

Me: I suggest not going out of the village. We might finish the test by merely staying behind and following village rules. And besides, there's another trace of evidence that will con-

Kei: Fine, I don't need you bums. Bye!

She took out two kunai and ran out of the village, not realizing that I had the map she needed.

Suzune: So why did you want to stay in the village? If you're wrong about this, I'll kill you Kiyotaka.

I opened up the map.

Suzune: Can't believe she forgot the map. Well, she'll have to come back from it. Now what does this have to do with-

Touching spots of the map using two fingers and dragging them around from the center, revealed the other locations on the map.

Suzune: What?

Me: We could have went through each of these locations and it still wouldn't have born fruit since it is done by the mere pressure of two fingers.
