This song has quickly become one of my faves. I loooooove Daughtry. But Imagine Dragons is my favorite, FOB is second and Daughtry is probably 3rd. I'm taking these one shots off of hold btw so you guys can request songs/situations. I need to think of ideas for Transported *facepalm*. You and Hiro are 18 in this one. Hiro might also be a little out of character, only the slightest bit though.

Hiro's POV~

I haven't seen or heard from Y/N for two years now. She was forced to move away to France with her family, and she broke up with me before they left because she knew a long distance relationship would be hard, way too hard for the both of us.

~ Flashback, 4 years ago, September 13th ~

A new girl was coming to SFIT today, a prodigy like myself, and I was to show her around. I walk into the college and head to my lab, organizing things before I am to meet the girl at the office. After I finish, I head to the front of the school where the office is located.

When I get there, I spot a girl with H/C hair and deep E/C eyes. I walk through the door and go up to her.

"Hey, are you Y/N L/N?" I ask with a kind smile that no longer has a tooth gap after I had braces for a year. (Don't get me wrong, his tooth gap gives me life but I felt like changing it in this one shot so please don't kill me xD)

"Yeah. I'm new here and, umm, someone named Hiro Hamada is supposed to show me around...?" She replies reluctantly.

"That's me. Here, I'll take you to the lab and help you get your things set up, and then I can show you around a bit." I offer my hand.

She smiles, nods, and then takes the hand I offered and I lead her to the lab.

*1 year later, September 21st*

I'm working on fixing some glitches that Baymax, a robot my older brother built before he died, has developed in the past month. I'm sitting in my desk chair at my computer, redownloading things into Baymax's healthcare chip that should fix some of the glitches, when I feel two arms wrap around my torso, and then a delicate kiss on my cheek.

"Whatcha doooooin'?" Y/N, my girlfriend of one year, asks as a smile escapes from my lips.

"Fixing some of Baymax's glitches."

"Do you know what today is?" she asks innocently.

"Hmm... Hump Day?"

"Noooope..."

I let out a slight laugh as I spin around in my chair to face her, standing up and placing my hands on her waist. "Happy Anniversary," I say, putting my mouth to hers.

~ Flashback End, 1:30am, September 13th, present time ~

I can't sleep tonight, so I put on my sweatshirt and exit my apartment and step out into the pouring rain. I head to the park and sit under the big Oak tree where Y/N and I would always meet under on Saturday afternoons.

I let the rain soak through my clothes and my hair. The water from the rain rolling down my face.

Y/N's POV~

I moved back to San Fransokyo a week ago, away from my family back in France. I had turned 18 a month ago, so I was able to live out of my parents' care.

I haven't slept since I got here, my brain is too focused on finding Hiro in this big city. Since it was impossible to even close my eyes, I found myself walking in the drenching downpour of rain. Turning down a familiar street, I notice the park. I see mine and Hiro's old Oak tree, but someone is sitting under it. As I trudge across the park, nearing the tree, I recognize his jet black hair and his now-soaked navy blue hoodie.

Hiro's POV~

I hear footsteps from behind me, slushing through the mud. They sit down behind me and slide their arms around my waist, leaning forward and placing a kiss on the rain-soaked skin where my jawline meets my neck. Y/N's soft voice whispers in my ear, "I missed you."

My breath hitches and I turn around carefully. I see her E/C eyes and her drenched H/C hair, her familiar, gorgeous smile glistening on her face in the darkness of the park.

Tears threaten my eyes. I say nothing. The only thing I do is place my hands on her neck and connect my lips to hers. Y/N pulls away a moment later, the smile coming back again, tears seem to fill her eyes. The rain begins to slow down.

"When did you move back here?" I ask in a whisper.

"A week ago. My family is still in France and I'm living on my own now. I came back here to find you. I rented an apartment, but I haven't unpacked anything except some clothes," she replies somewhat softly. Her arms find my torso again as she nuzzles her face in my neck and I place my arms on her waist.

"Move into my apartment with me if you want to. Be mine again, please."

"I would love that. I love you so much, Hiro."

"I love you, too."
