Uraraka did a double-take and nearly fell over. "Say what?"
"Bakugo Katsuki," Kirishima titled his head, "do you know him?"
"Do we know him," Urarala scoffed. "You really don't recognize the name Midoriya Izuku?"
Kirishima furrowed his brows. "Katsuki never mentioned anyone by that name."
"Good heavens," Uraraka clenched her fists, "of course he wouldn't tell anyone."
Tokoyami set down his boba. "There seems to be something missing, how do you two know him?"
"Mido and I-" Uraraka paused and spun around, "holy sh*t, Mido, are you okay?"
Midoriya was standing in place, frozen. Though upon closer inspection he was shaking as if there was no tomorrow. Uraraka hugged him and tried to lower him to the ground.
"Kaminari, help me."
Kaminari immediately sat his bowling ball down and helped lower Midoriya to the floor. "What's going on?"
Uraraka took off her shawl and covered Izuku's eyes. "Bakugo and Midoriya don't have good history and that's putting it kindly. From what Izuku told me, their aunts basically would pit-fight them against each other at home and at school when their moms were on business leave. It's probably bad for Bakugo too, but Mido enters a fight or flight state when Bakugo's name is mentioned or a loud smack sounds- it reminds him of the sound of punches." She pulled Midoriya to her chest and let Midoriya feel the vibrations of her voice.
Kirishima widened his eyes. "Now that you mention it, my fiance is a professional boxer, yet he always seems to collapse afterward. He can't live with fighting, he can't live without it."
Mina scowled. "Are you telling me two old hags are the reasons why what could've been a happy friendship was ruined?"
(Do you think Sero peels the tape out of his elbows when he's nervous.)
Kaminari unclenched Midoriya's hand and held it. He wanted to speak, to say something, but sorrow was the only thing on his mind. It hurt to see Midoriya on the floor and shaking.
Fortunately, it didn't last for long. Midoriya sat up and handed the shawl back to Uraraka before wiping his eyes. "...wow.."
Kaminari watched him uneasily. "Do you need to lay down again?"
He held up a finger. "One second." Slowly, he moved his finger in front of Kirishima. "You. Your fiance is Bakugo Katsuki."
Kirishima nodded.
"He had blond, spiky hair and red eyes."
"Yeah...."
"And he sounds like he swallowed a grater?"
Kirishima let out a small giggle before shaking his head. "Wait- yeah. He does."
Midoriya leaned back against Kaminari. "Hold me, my dear, I think I might faint."
"Of course, my love." God, Kaminari was so happy that Midoriya wasn't looking at him. He couldn't help but scowl at the cheeky grinned Mina.
"Wait, wait, wait," Midoriya opened his eyes and looked suspiciously at Kirishima. "Katsuki is a professional boxer?"
"......yeah?"
"Hoooolllyy sh*t," Midoriya stared at what everyone else guessed was an angel. "I'm surprised he had the guts to do it."
"Do what?" Mina asked.
"Auntie Ikari wanted him to become a martial artist. He actually had the guts to deny her." Midoriya looked at his palm. "All I could do was run away from her and my aunt."
