Cadence's POV: Me and Shining were staying at Canterlot Castle because of Twilights new promotion so we decided to stay for a while we don't need to be in the Crystal Empire to rule it and Shining was Captain of the royal guard here. we heard something in Celestia's chambers from a like ten rooms away and we were on our way to see what happened when one of Luna's night watch uhhh Nocturnal I think it was and he said
"Princess, Captain your wanted by Princess Luna in the Throne room ASAP." he said extremely fast and we ran to the throne room.
In the throne room
"Hahahaha well hello Cadence and Shining." a dark figure said evilly she then used magic and put cuffs on our horns and a ring on my wings.
"These are the strongest retainers my men have there's no getting them off unless the pony who put them on takes them off." Shining said
"What? Who are you and why have you done this?" I asked honestly confused I was answered with evil laughter.
"Haha you don't remember be its only been a few years but if you must know I am Nightmare Moon and you two stand in my way of power. Now you have two choices one is surrender and go to the dungeons alone and be tortured the second one is surrender and become loyal slaves to my daughter." she said. Daughter? Since when did Luna well for the moment Nightmare Moon have a daughter?
"I say we go with the second option Cadence it might give us a chance to see who this "daughter" of hers is and give us some wiggle room to stop her." Shining whispered I was curious to this daughter she spoke of and he made good points when I realized that as Princess I was supposed to say the choice
"We'll take the second option." I said
"Well we have a winner I'll just enchant your retainers to do a few new tricks and then you'll go to Celestia's old chambers that is where my daughter is sleeping you will do as she says and with you two out of the way Equestria is mine," she said evilly and she cast a spell and we were sent up to Celestia's old chambers.
Nightmares POV: with those two idiots out of my way I realized everypony will be at the castle wondering where the sun is so I decided I will go and make my claim to power official when everypony was at the castle. I walked outside to see the most important ponies outside
"Well well well I see you sun loving ponies are looking for your sun." I said menacingly
"Well I am in charge now and you will accept me as your queen and my daughter as princess you shall all receive booklets with details if you treat us well you might get a couple hours of sun as a reward." I finished and everyone bowed it felt good to rule.
