“Juliet, my child, it is time to wake!”

The strawberry blonde teenager slowly opened her crystal blue eyes as the morning sun glazed over the hills. She was surrounded by stuffed toys, both large and tiny. She was already awake but it seemed that her body was still fast asleep. The teenager lazily got off the bed and changed into her everyday clothing: a simple white shirt and a brown skirt.

“Juliet, where are you?” the voice rang again. “I’m coming, mother!” said the teenager, or the so-called ‘Juliet.’

As she brushed her bed hair in front of the mirror, she daydreamed.

Who am I, again? What am I doing here?

Oh wait, that’s right… I’m Juliet Grindelwald, the daughter of a divorced woman and of a man whom I never seen since after my 4th birthday. Since my mother is a redhead, I could say I inherited my looks from my father. What troubles me the most is why my father left us so unexpectedly—no reason and no goodbyes. The day before he left was when he divorced my mother without me and her knowing it. And, now, I hate men---

“Give me all ‘yer money, lady!”

---and gangsters.

      ------------------------

The world I live in is fantasy. It isn’t a world similar to a child’s fairytale book. My world is filled with unavoidable diseases and pollution. But, this place is only a part of my world—in fact, there are 5 cities. The 1st city, ‘Techno Isle’ is the capital city of my world. It is populated with lots of buildings and technology. Different kinds of gems and crystals can be found in the 2nd city, ‘Crystal Island.’ The 3rd city is called ‘Oceania.’ From its name, this city is found underwater. The 4th city is where I live—the most polluted and gangster-filled part of my world. The 5th city, ‘Rose Valley’, is where I want to be. It is being vacated by flowers of different kinds.

“Juliet! Quit daydreaming and get your ass over here!” the chef ordered, placing the plate of eggs on the counter. The girl quickly snapped out of it and took the plate of eggs to table number 5. “Sorry, Jay. A lot’s been going on…” Juliet apologized, taking a seat near the counter. “It’s your mother again, isn’t it?” he said as he wiped his big greasy hand on his apron. Juliet giggled, “You know me too much.” Jay smiled back at her and signaled to let her continue.

“Mother just wants me not to overwork again.” “And, she’s right.” “But, my mother and I need more money. To earn more money, I need to overwork. But, overworking can worry my mother…”
Jay patted her shoulder gently and roughly at the same time and gave her a warm smile, “It would all work out someday. I promise.” “Hey, hey, when did you get so gentle and caring?” Juliet mocked. Jay hit her on the head. “How dare you. Everybody has a good side too, y’know!” The strawberry-blonde girl laughed at this and turned to the picture of a man who looked exactly like her. “Hey, Jay” Juliet asked, now frowning. “What’s up?” Jay replied, frying a bunch of hot dogs. “Up until now, I’m curious why father left me…” Jay dropped one of the hotdogs he was cooking and turned to face her, “Jay, do you know any reason why he left us—my mother and I?” “W-well, this is the 2nd time this week you brought up this topic a-and… sigh… I’m still not telling you.” Juliet looked down at the floor and stayed silent for an hour.
