6. It Was Just A Favor

Juliet's POV

I ran down stairs trying to get away from everyone. "Julie! Please wait." Luke follows behind me. "Lave me alone!" I run out to the balcony I trapped myself. I sighed in defeat and turned around. "I thought you loved me." I cried. "Julie I do. I love you more then anything."

"Yeah right." I scoffed.

"I loved you from the night we ran off to Carries stupid party. It- it wasn't fake feelings for long."

"Fake. I knew it. How could you even fall for me."

"But I did Julie."

"After being forced to! You think I want that?!"

"No." He responded calmly.

"Luke I-I can't do this right now." I took off the ring and pushed it into his chest before running out. I soon showed up to my Mothers grave along with a couple other family members. "Hey Mama." I dropped to my knees. "I wish you were here. I miss you so much I have no idea what I just did I ruined any chance I had of becoming Queen this Season. I'm sorry Mama." I sat down leaning on the stone. "I really thought he did this on his own. It was just a favor. Why did you ask him to protect me? I want things to go back to normal. Please that's all I want." I sobbed. "I don't know what we're going to do now. I can't go back to him. I can't I won't." I thought about doing everything the traditional way it just made my head hurt. Thinking about this with Luke was so much easier. I snapped out of my thoughts as I heard foot steeps come closer. "Oh I'm sorry." James started to walk away. "J-James wait." He turned about walking back towards me. "We haven't been here together-"

"Yeah."

"Julie I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that. I was just mad."

"Don't be. I'm pretty sure I called of the engagement anyways." I pulled him into a hug. "You gotta talk to him. I did kinda sound like he was into you." He laughed.

"Thanks?" I giggle into his chest. "I don't wanna talk to him."

"Well you're gonna have to soon."

"Why."

"He lives in your room."

"Oh."

"What are you gonna do? If you don't have-"

"I know I won't be able to marry till next season. Maybe it's for the best." I shrugged. "Julie we need a Queen. You can't just leave the job waiting there."

"I know James."

"Uh...tell Luke I'm sorry..."

"Tell him your self." I walked away.

I found my self in the kitchen. Who knew the kitchen was so big. Thousands of tiny doors. I opened one to see a shelf to be stuffed with pure chocolate. I grabbed a couple different ones and ran back up to my room locking the door so no one could get in or out. "You eating your feelings?" Suzie walked out of my closet. I gasped. "Suzie! Oh my god! You scared me!"

"What're gonna do?" She sat down. "I have no idea." I sighed. "Well he's on a walk.... just cool off for a bit...he does have to come back here after all."

"I know. I know. I'll just go somewhere that's not here." I stood up grabbing the chocolate. "Ok but that's not gonna work forever...where are you going to sleep?" She blocked me from the door. "We can switch rooms! I don't know Suzzie." I ducked u see her arm walking out. "He's going to be sleeping here weather you like it or not!" She voice faded as I walking down stairs again. "Julie...hey I'm so sorry I had no idea. But Luke really did fall in love with you. It wasn't all fake you're overreacting!" Adrian started walking with me. "Why do you care? It's not like you care about me anyways."
