8. 'She Is Very Much Alive'

Juliet's POV
"What? no she's... Her funeral as..."

"Closed casket." Luke finished my sentence.

"You know what we have to do?" I asked holding the note.

"Gotta dig up her grave?"

"Yes. What's the box open it." I pointed to it. It was actually big no idea what it could be.

He ripped open the cardboard and pulled out a few shovels. "She knew we wouldn't trust the note." He chuckled.

"Are you gonna change? Or can the prince afford to get that dirty?" I smile knowing how expensive a stupid suit can be.

"Only for you darling." He winks taking the shovels. "I'll meet you outside."

I roll my eyes walking out with him. We take the door that leads straight to the grave yard. I stand in front of my Mothers 'Grave.' and sigh. "What if she's actually dead and this was a cruel joke."

"We don't have to do this, we can wait till we marry to get the next note." He puts his hand on the small of my back.

"No I cant wait that long. Let's do this." I nod as he hands me a shovel. We start digging and the hotter it gets. Luke with his tie loosened and a couple buttons undone at the top. I drop my shovel and groan. "How are we gonna get this done, it will take forever!" I whine.

"Giving up so quickly, princess?" He beams a smile. "No, just...tired. It's been like 4 hours."

"It's hardly been an hour, Love." He chuckled.

"Well if we just told the guards I'm sure they'd help-"

"And risk getting sent to a mental hospital. Save me the trip."

"No I just mean I don't wanna do this anymore."

"Ok, I will."

"Luke, you haven't eaten anything or drank. Take a break I don't want you to-"

"Julie I'm fine."

"Well right now you are but you will-"

"I don't need anything."

"Luke-"

"I need to know if she's alive! I'm not gonna stop till I know she is!" He wiped his face with his shoulder. "Your not the only one that misses her." He whispered.

Then it hit me, my mom meant a lot to him, She was like a second mother to him. "Luke i'm sorry- I didn't know you felt like this." I sighed.

"Juliet Molina! Lucas Patterson! What the HELL are you doing!" My father yells as everyone walks out with him.

"Mother, Shes not dead you just have to prove it, look the note!" I say as Luke hands it to me.

"Juliet! Stop with this madness! What's gone is gone! Let her go! You can't hold on forever."

"No. I'm not letting you stop us, read this, if you don't believe me, leave. But I need to know." I hand him the note going back to Luke as he hands me a shovel.

Carlos, and James decided to stay and help. I jump back into the hole we've made as Luke's shovel hits something. We look at each other. I move the dirt off to see the coffin. "Move. I'll pry it open." Luke nods telling me to get off. "Luke it's nailed down how are you-"

I get cut off from the noise of the coffin wood being popped. "I guess the stay in Hawaii did something didn't it?" James says looking down as I look up. "Shut up, James." Luke laughed. "You ready?" He held the top low not being able to see what's inside
