All Because of a Book ( Daminette )

Chapter 1

They had finally reached Gotham after a 8 hour flight. As soon as they landed Marinette was mesmerized by Gotham, Usually people wouldn't like Gotham at it's first sight at all but Marinette was inspired by so many things there Gotham had a kind of beauty which Marinette liked a lot. She had design ideas pouring out of her head like water pouring down a waterfall, it didn't stop. It had now come to a point where Chloe had to hide Marinette's sketchbook. Which was very difficult, Chloe admitted that Marinette had a tight grip. The girls soon arrived at Jagged Stone's Mansion. They both quickly chose their rooms; both of their rooms were big and everything they needed was there, all the things in the mansion were extravagant but yet decent and it looked beautiful. Jagged was spoiling Marinette, while Chloe was used to it. They had to start their school in 2 days, that's when the new semester starts. They had unpacked and made themselves at home. Marinette had to make sure she hid the miracle box properly and gave all the kwami's a pep talk though no one would be home other than her and Chloe but it was required. They decide to call it a day after setting their stuff in place.

The next day Chloe and Marinette spend shopping for fabrics and touring around Gotham. They decide to order Pizza and watch a movie . Marinette then decided to bake macarons and Chloe helped as she learned how to bake from Marinette. After the macrons were baked they both and the kwami's ate it. All the kwamis may have different favorite food that they liked but they loved Marinette's macrons leaving Plagg of course he was eating his Camembert( believe me or not but he once asked Marinette to make Camembert macrons). After all the baking, Chloe went to get her beauty sleep while Marinette decided to work on some commissions for clients.

It had been a couple of hours since Marinette had started working on her commissions so she decided to take a break. She decided to go stand on the balcony for a little while to get some fresh air. As she was enjoying the view of the city. She saw a figure standing on one of the buildings. She assumed it would be one of Gotham's heroes. Patrolling maybe? She knew them but it was as Ladybug they had offered help but she had kindly declined it as an akumatized Batman or Superman wouldn't be easy to defeat. But she did need help in finding out Hawkmoth and Mayura's identity considering the fact that they were the better deactivates than her or anyone on her team as a matter of fact. She had to say that she was surprised when Batman agreed with her idea about them only working on the research part.

Not like she was ever gonna tell the batman and his teammates this but she had kinda figured out their identity they were the Wayne family. But she wasn't sure about it. But it made sense they were the ones who could afford all the gadgets and even the tech. She soon left this thought and took one last look at the Gotham city's view and got back to work. She fell asleep after some time though.

The next day the kwamis and Chloe had to wake Marinette because her alarm clock couldn't do its job properly. Better to say Marinette did not wake to her alarm clock's beeping.

Chloe was waiting for Marinette near the door "MARI-BUG LET'S GOO I DO NOT WANNA BE LATE ON MY FIRST DAY" Chloe yelled at the bluenette.

"I'm coming Chloe. I don't wanna be late for my first day either. Now lets gooo". Marinette said as she grabbed Chloe's hand and ran out the door towards the driver who was waiting for the girls.

After a ten minute ride they reached school. Marinette thanked the driver for dropping. They two girls walked towards Miss. Jen's office, that is where they were supposed to get their time tables. They both are happy about having the same homeroom and almost the same timetable, Marinette had an extra business class and a designing class. While Chloe had her own extra classes too. Both girls were happy about getting all the same classes.

Ms. Jen taped the thin mic and said " Mr. Jonathan Kent and Ms. Alice Victoria come to Ms. Jen's office please."

A few minutes later a boy with black hair and blue eyes with glasses and a girl with hazel eyes and blonde hair entered.

"Hi I'm Jonathan Kent but you can call me Jon it's nice to meet you" Jon said with big smile on his face

"Hello I'm Alice Victoria. It's nice to meet you" Alice said with joy

"Hello I'm Marinette Dupain-Cheng and this is my best friend Chloe Bourgeois... It's nice to meet you as well" Marinette said with a sweet smile.

"It's nice to meet you too" Chloe said with a smile

"Now you may go to your classes" Ms. Jen says

They all left Ms. Jen's office. Jon and Alice were really nice to them. They showed them their homeroom class. The day went by good. By lunch they all had become friends, Jon mentioned something about his best friend not coming to school today. By the end of the day Marinette and Chloe had made quite a lot of friends. Everyone really liked Marinette. She was kind ,honest and helpful. She immediately got the pet name Sunshine of Gotham. She had good first and hoped it would be good the rest of the year.
