Narrator POV

Y/n's fear was coming true. They was becoming sick from working too hard.
But they were so close to getting the money for the rent while Lucy cleaned the house, they couldn't just stop then and there.

Y/n was coming home from there second job. They fiddle the keys to there door. As soon as they opened there door the landlord was right there scaring the shit out of Y/n!

Quickly Y/n pulled their hat further down over their face to avoid him viewing their awful state.

Before he could have the chance to say anything.

"I-I'll have the rent on time just please don't worry about it everything is fine!" They quickly said and before they could walk in their own apartment the landlord shut their door, keeping them from going anywhere.

"Actually I came to check up on you seeing how you are and making sure your still working one job.." Its nothing that y/n can't have it's just the landlord caring for them.

"Hahaha..." Y/n chuckled nervously. "It's nothing that you have to worry about, really!" They lifted their head forcing a smile till the landlord said.

"I understand that but-...hey kid I need eye contact unless you're hat is doing the talking here" Y/n sigh in defeat. It is there landlord after all.

Y/n rearranged their hat under there hood on their head before looking up at the landlord

The landlord eyes widens.
"Your sick, I knew something was up. Your working way to hard and especially for your age kid! Damn it!"

"S-Sir..please-" they begged them not to worry.

"No more excuses now follow me" y/n sigh and followed him to avoid being on his bad side.

He unlocked and opened his office door and showed Y/n to one of the two chairs in front of his desk.
He sat in his chair on the other side.
He reached in his drawer and grabbed a muffin and an Arizona tea and slid it towards Y/n.

"Drink and eat up, I'll call your work place and your other job to let them know your resting.

"But sir I can't stay here I have rent to pay!" Y/n protested.

"You can't do shit while looking and feeling like you just rise from the dead" he got up and walked towards the door before he walked out he said "Trust me i understand.." He
Looked towards the ground leaning on the door frame "You will soon learn your limit fast at your rate...you will soon regret skipping those chances when you finally get to relax..even if its for a split second...I'll check on you in a little bit kid" with that he left the office you were in, closing the door behind him, giving you privacy.
