baseball and nomads

Bella pov

We were all sitting at the Cullen house when Alice came down the stairs excited. "there is a thunder tonight. Anyone up for baseball"  we all nodded excited.

I dressed in my black jeans and baseball t-shirt. Edward placed a baseball hat on my head and we left fir the field. The others had already reached and the teams were divided as Alice, Emmett and Edward in one team and jasper, Carlisle and jasper in the other. Esme was the referee,

"she thinks we cheat " Emmett said into my neck before kissing it

"I know u cheat, " esme retorted and pushed him towards the others

Alive threw the ball and rose hit it causing  a loud thunder. "okay now I know why u need the thunder" I  said

Thus went on for a while when Alice suddenly exclaimed "stop"

Edward's eyes widened at Alice's thoughts and he rushed to me followed by the others

"I did not see them coming. They were leaving but heard us and want to play "

All my mates growled and hugged me, my scent calming them. "put your hair down " Edward said

Alice said,"it won't help, I could smell her from across the field "

There were five of them , human drinkers

Two blond males, one dark guy, one blond girl and one girl with fiery red hair.

They introduced themselves as James, Lucas, Laurent, Cynthia and Victoria.

The tension slowly reduced into casual conversation.

"We want to play" Laurent said

Carlisle hesitated but after persisting from them nodded and said that some of us were leAving and they could take our place. Just then a wind blew and carried my scent to them. They growled and crouched, " u bought a snack " James smiled sadistically

"she is our mate " my mates growled

"as if we care " Cynthia said

My mates tried moving but couldn't "I have a power called controlling others. U can't move unless I want u to" my mates helplessly tried moving and looked at me. But all I did was smile at them and mouthed "shield"

They weren't satisfied but nodded

James came to attack me but I merely moved back and did a back flip kicking him in the process causing him to fall flat on his ass. His coven members looked at me shocked and the fiery red haired female charged at me. I did Damon's favorite move and ducked and punched her using my shield which threw her to the other side of the field. The others charged at me together and thanks to Stefan who taught me taikuando I easily fought them off. I got tired of fighting them so using my physical shield I bound them in one and using my other shielrd freed the Cullens. My mates rushed to my side

I turned to the captives and asked, "didn't understand how I was able to so that yet?"

They just snarled and tried fighting my shield. I shook my head and said,"then u die in suspense only" and contracted my shield so small that crushed them. I used a lighter from my pocket given to me by Jacob and lit them on fire. I took back my  shields and fell into Jasper's arms exhausted.

Jasper pov

We were shocked and proud at our mates powers. She lit the vampires on fire and took back her shields and collapsed into my arms. Me and the boys panicked immediately and searched her for injuries but found none. Why had she collapsed then??

Alice answered our doubt saying," she is still human guys and the first time she faced something like this. Her shields take a lot of energy causing her to be exhausted and sleepy. A proper nap will bring her back in shape and energy. " We sighed in relief  nd nodded. "she is your equal in every way. That's the reason she is so strong in her human form and will be more so in her vampire form. Also she will have an alter ego like u jasper " I was shocked. But then again she was my mate means she was the goddess of war thus explaining her easy win in this fight. Edward nodded smiling and relayed my thoughts to the others who also nodded in agreement. We carried our mate and headed home so she could get the proper rest. What we didn't realise was that someone was watching us and the fight that had taken place.
