Shadow Pov
I was a new recruit in the Jaeger program, and I had just arrived at the base. As I was being carried in a helicopter, I couldn't help but feel nervous. I knew that the other Jaegers had already been fighting Kaiju for years, and I was just a newcomer. What could I possibly offer?
As we arrived, I saw all the other Jaegers gathered together in the bay area. I noticed a particular Jaeger, Gipsy Avenger, staring at me in shock. It was probably because I was a Class 9 Jaeger, and the only one in the world. But that wasn't the only thing that set me apart from the rest. My body was mostly black with a hint of grey, but my visor and highlights were blue. Everyone else had taken out their weapons, as blue meant corruption, but I assured them that I was not corrupted. I didn't even know why I was blue.
The Marshall helped me explain it to them. he said that he had brought me here to train me with the new Jaegers and learn something from them. So, we all headed to the training room to get started. As the newest member, I was eager to prove myself.
The first to face me was Nova Hyperion, the leader of the team. But to my surprise, she chose Eden, her cousin, instead. Eden was a classified Jaeger, but he seemed a little lost and lonely. I felt sorry for him.
As we circled each other, he asked" Are you ready?"
I could tell Eden was nervous. I charged at him with great speed, but he blocked my sword with his. I tried again, but he blocked it again. I needed to find his weak spot. As I jumped at him, he ducked and changed his other hand to a pulse cannon, firing at my sword. It went flying out of my grasp, and I was impressed. I had never seen anyone do that before.
I was down to my mini-swords, and I charged at Eden again. Our swords never clashed as I moved out of his way and judo-flipped him. I then changed one of my hands to a pulse cannon, which began to glow faintly at level one. I noticed that Eden's cannon didn't have that feature, but then again, he wasn't a Class 9 Jaeger like me.
As I was about to finish the match when the alarm went off, interrupting our fight. It was time to fight a Kaiju.
