Y/N's POV

"Y/N?"

I heard a hushed voice quietly calling my name and I pressed closer to the warm softness of the pillow I was laying on, determined to remain asleep.

"Baby? You wanna wake up for me?" The voice spoke again, the sweet tone breaking through my sleepy haze as I recognised it to be Jungkook.

"J-Jungkookie?" I asked, my tired eyes unwillingly cracking open in search of the bunny.

"I'm here my angel." He assured and I felt the gentle sweep of his hand running down my back.

"Wha-?" I finally sat up, doziness slowly falling away as I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion, fixing my slightly askew glasses while I blinked at a grinning Jungkook.

"You fell asleep on me during the movie, baby." He explained with an ever growing smile, his eyes pretty half moon shapes.

"Ah-I did?" I squeaked out, blush creeping into my cheeks, hoping I hadn't snored or drooled on him. "Uh sorry."

His eyes narrowed at that, lips pursing into an angry pout. "Did you forget about the ban on that word?"
I couldn't help but giggle as I rolled my eyes at his cute scowling face.

I reached up to stifle a yawn then, stretching my fists above me afterwards when realisation crashed into me like a truck.

"Wait-what time is it??" I asked the world in general, frantically scrabbling for my phone, my heart rate suddenly ratcheting up.

"Um, past eleven. Baby relax." Jungkook said next to me as I finally found my phone where it had slipped between two sofa cushions, the bright screen confirming what he'd said. I chewed down on my bottom lip, fingers worrying at my thumb ring.

"I missed the last train." I whispered, tugging the long sleeves of Jungkook's hoodie down to cover my hands, anxiety clutching at my chest.
How was I going to get home? I only had my train pass with me. Wait, did I bring cash? Or my debit card? Yeah, pretty sure. I'd have to get a taxi. No. I dreaded using taxis, alone at night, made me so scared. Could I walk? I curled a covered fist against my constricted chest, sucking in a quick, shallow breath.

"Y/N!" Jungkook called my name, sharp concern in his voice. "Look at me, baby." His hands landed on my shoulders, his face suddenly right in front of mine, so close the tips of our noses brushed.

I was panicking, chest heaving now as I desperately made an attempt to get breath into my lungs, heartbeat thudding against my ribs, a rushing sound in my ears almost drowning out Jungkook's words.

"Just focus on me, okay baby? Copy oppa." His voice was my anchor, his slow breathing exaggerated and his big sparkling eyes the centre of my attention. I concentrated hard on them, mapping the stars I could see around his pupils as I followed his breathing.

"That's it. That's my girl." He praised, one hand moving to cup my cheek, thumb swiping under my eye to catch a tear I hadn't realised was there. "Hyung can you bring her bag, please?" He asked without breaking eye contact, the soft pad of his thumb continuing to gently rub over my cheek.

I tried to suppress the slight trembling that I could feel shaking my body, tucking my hands between my thighs and curling my shoulders. All the while I kept my eyes fixed on Jungkook's, matching my breaths to his.

In through the nose.

Hold for three of his calm heartbeats that I could feel against my own chest now.

And slowly out from between quivering lips.

"Here baby. Use this." Jungkook urged me after a couple of minutes had passed, pressing something into my hand after he had freed one from its sleeve paw. My fingers curled around the familiar shape of my inhaler and immediately I shook it, bringing it to my lips and pressing down twice in quick succession. As I breathed in, the claws of the anxiety that had possessed me slowly let their piercing grip loosen, leaving me to deal with the aftermath.
