Olly felt the heat of the morning sun start to shine through the treetops, her body laying on Ed much like how they had fallen asleep together after making love most of the night. She opened her eyes to the handsome sleeping Cleric, Olly still wondering if the night had actually happened. But with their bare bodies and tangled legs, it was proof enough for her that she hadn't dreamnt the whole thing up. Ed had even said he loved her....She felt the blush come across her face, wanting to bury it again in his chest.
"He loves me" she thought happily "He said it and meant it."
But she hadn't returned the words, too caught up in the heat of the moment to tell him that she too loved him with everything in her. She suddenly felt movement under her, her head shooting up to meet the jade green eyes that smiled down at her.
"Hi" he said in a bit of a groggy voice.
"Hi" Olly smiled up at him, her body stretching lazily over his own.
"A bird didn't take off with my clothes, did it?" Ed asked looking around, the field swaying in the faint breeze of morning.
"No, I think they are still over there" Olly pointed her finger behind him "Although I think I flung them pretty good."
Ed smirked and pulled her up closer to his face, her bare chest pressed against his own. He was so warm...so nice...she could fall right back asleep on him.
"Do you regret last night?" Ed asked, needing to know.
"No" Olly shook her head "Do you?"
"Not in a million lifetimes" Ed smiled "I just wanted to be sure. We didn't do much talking last night..."
"No, but I think we said what needed to be said" Olly giggled.
"We could talk like that again anytime you want" Ed winked down at her, making Olly blush and giggle like a schoolgirl. Ed loved making her laugh like that, loved the way she pressed her face into his chest and wiggled her body just a little bit to let him know she enjoyed it.
"I love you" he said again, not holding back the words when they wanted to come.
Olly shot her head up and looked at him with such a wide smile, it made his entire body glow.
"I love you" she said back, watching his eyes light up as he sat upright, grabbing her hands gently in his own. Olly sat up with him, watching the way he caressed her fingers lightly under his own, his stare a thousand worlds away until he looked back to her.
"You do?' he mimicked her response.
"I do" she kissed him softly "I love you, Edric Alphonse."
"I was terrified" Ed laughed softly as he shook his head.
"Of what?" Olly turned her head.
"Of you not loving me back" he shook his head "But I knew I had to say it. I'm sorry I said it right when we were about to make love, but I need you to know. I needed you to know that I'm not here for one night, or a fortnight or even a year. I'm here with you forever."
Olly was still as she listened to his words, feeling her heart ache with such love she wanted to throw her arms around him again and make him forget he ever thought she wouldn't love him back.
"I love you Allana Duer" he said looking up at her "I'm yours, forever long."
"Ed" Olly said as she moved herself into his arms, her bare body melding into his own "I'm yours, I have been for a long time. I love you, more than words can say. But I promise you just like you promised me. I'm with you, always, forever long."
