Sketchbook assignment

Basically, we draw something in our sketchbooks and then write about what we wrote.

I had lesbians on my mind so I decided to draw two I recently made (like, made in the class right before Art recent).

The first concept I made was unfinished but here it is

What going to happen is is going to be Sammie standing in the front, just existing, while her girlfriend Via is in the back saying "I love my girlfriend!"

After this concept I decided to make a digital version.

Here I got their colors and decided to do a very simple ref for both of them.

After that, I began sketching.

Sammie was easy but I had a few problems with drawing Via.

How does one draw hands?

And boom. Sketch done.

Next was coloring. I debated with myself whether to line it (or color inside the sketch) or have no lines like I do for digital.

I ended up just using my pencil.

I then tried doing a font-ish thing (idk what you call it. Making it bolder?) for the text but my pencil fucked up so I had to change it a bit.
