As soon as they got home, Rosemary barrelled into Nico and gave him a big hug. "I missed you, Neeks!" She squealed.
"I was only gone for 3 days." He said.
"I missed you, though."
She gave a hug to Will. "I missed you, big brother."
Will patted her on the back. She was so tiny that she was squeezing Will's stomach. "I missed you too, Rosemary."
After she was done hugging Will, she grabbed Nico's hand. "Come on! I want to talk to you!"
"Go with her." Will said. "I'll unpack."
"Um, okay." He followed Rosemary.
Once they got to the strawberry fields, Rosemary sat down, and Nico sat down next to her.
"So you went to Willy's house?" She asked.
"Yeah."
"What was it like?"
"Well, Will has a mom named Naomi, and she lives in Texas. She was really nice. She even made me some Italian food, and I think she liked me. We talked a lot with her, I got to see Will's house, and we also went into the city and did some fun stuff there. We got candy, by the way. I can get you some later if you want it."
"Candy!" She exclaimed. "But next time you see Willy's mom, can you take me? I want to meet her, too!"
"Okay, maybe you can come next time."
"Um, Nico?"
"What is it, Rosie?"
She twirled her hair. "Um, I wanted to tell you something. I think I remember something."
Nico's eyes widened. "Really? What did you remember? And what happened right before you remembered?"
Her brows furrowed. "Well, I was talking to Rachel. I thought she seemed so cool, and that her red hair seemed familiar. Then I remembered a face. A person with red hair and freckles who smiled at me. She had freckles on her nose, just like me. And she was around Rachel's age. The girl was smiling, and a name came into my head. The name Nora. I think I had a big sister named Nora." She said.
"That's cool that you remembered that. Good job." He said softly.
She looked sad. "I want to remember. I know I told you back at the Lotus place that I wanted to forget, but I don't. I really don't. I want to remember my life, my family. I want to remember."
"What if something bad happened, Rosie? Then you'll be sad about it."
"I don't care! I just want to know."
She hugged him again, and buried her face into his chest. "I want to remember."
Nico nodded. "Okay. I'll help you remember." Nico knew exactly what she was feeling. When his memories were still gone, Nico desperately wanted to know who his mom was, what his life was like. It didn't matter that Bianca and Hades were trying to stop him. He just needed to know.
Rosemary's strawberry blonde hair was up in a ponytail, and half of the hair was out of it now. Nico took the hair tie out and redid her ponytail.
"I didn't know you could do ponytails." Rosemary said.
Nico shrugged. "My hair is kind of long. I've put it up a few times."
Nico told her he was going to go check on Mrs. O'Leary. He hadn't visited her in a bit, because Argus was taking care of her.
"Who's Mrs. O'Leary?"
"She's a Hellhound. Like, a really big dog that's from the Underworld."
"Yeah, I want to see a doggy!"
