(Warnings: This chapter is very smut-heavy. Like almost all smut. The smut includes lots of daddy kink and breeding kink. So if that's not your thing, I'm surprised you're reading my stories but, you might wanna skip around. With that being said, Y/N will not be getting pregnant or having any sort of pregnancy scare in this fic so don't worry about that when reading this chapter. Enjoy it! <3)

You were brushing your teeth when Charlie texted you.

You had been making eye contact with yourself in the mirror, running the brush back and forth when your phone beeped beside you on the counter of the sink. Usually, a notification didn't mean much. You were in a few group chats with friends from home that sometimes became talkative at random moments. It could be a message from Erin or just a noise to tell you that someone followed you on Instagram.

But now that your ex-boyfriend, Tom, who you would do anything to avoid, was insistent on getting a hold of you, the alert made your heart sink.

When you saw that it was Charlie's name instead, you couldn't help but choke a little on the toothpaste in your mouth. As much as you didn't want it to be your ex, you hadn't been expecting it to be Charlie. He usually never attempted to get a hold of you outside of work.

Somehow, out of all of the things that you and Charlie shared, seeing his name on your phone was still a huge deal to you. In some ways, it seemed more intimate and risky than touching each other in hushed voices while his wife was in the other room. This was solid proof that you two had a relationship. It could show up on phone records or something similar.

You spit in the sink, then wiped your mouth as you nervously unlocked your screen.

The text he sent you was just an address. No greeting or explanation.

You copied and pasted it into your maps and it showed you that the location he was sharing with you led to a hotel. A very expensive hotel.

Butterflies erupted deep in your stomach. You knew that it must mean that he wanted you to come there.

'Now?' is the text that you sent back.

You never knew how much to say. If it were one of your friends that you didn't have to hide away with, you would've sent emojis or a funny photo or at least expressed your surprise in some sort of way. But it was different with Charlie.

Three dots appeared almost instantly, letting you know that he was typing back. You imagined him nervously staring at his screen, waiting for your reply.

'Now' is what you received and then, '505'.

You understood that it must be his room number and it just added to the nerves beneath your ribcage. You wondered what this meant. Why was he staying at a hotel tonight? You tried not to get your hopes up or read into it, but you remembered the divorce lawyer he'd seen in secret. You couldn't help but wonder if he finally told Nicole.

As hopeful as you were that he was speeding up the process that would eventually allow you to be with him, you were also scared. It was all up to him and you understood that but you weren't sure that you mentally prepared yourself enough for him to break his family apart. You needed a warning, at least.

You tried to pack for the occasion, but you weren't sure what the occasion even was. If he was sad, you had a change of comfy pajamas so that you could cuddle up to him. You even snuck in a fluffy blanket of your own into the bottom of the bag.

On the off chance that he was angry or distant, you brought your headphones in case he needed to call Nicole and you needed to tune him out.

But you were almost sure of one thing since the two of you were going to share the rare occurrence of being alone with each other: You knew that unless Charlie were really upset, he wouldn't be able to keep his hands off of you. So, that was why you wore a pretty piece of lingerie under your clothing.
