Narrator: We are back as we enter the story of where Donald and Douglas took a train during the night and they had some trouble on where to go, It all started back in the sheds when it was night time when Sir Topham Hatt arrived to ask someone to pull the train from Knapford to Vicarstown.

Sir Topham Hatt: I need an engine to haul a goods train from Knapford to Vicarstown, The special is waiting from Happ. It's a long journey.

Donald: I can do it sir, Considering Alex wants a rest after his long haul he had the other day.

Alex: Yeah, Hauling is pretty much done for me.

Douglas: Aye, Can I help too sir? If it's long. We twins can pull it together with ease!

James: But you're not like Alex, You always double head trains cause your twins and he hauls more than you too.

Percy: Hauling coaches isn't just making you more tired too James. Like how you tried taking coaches yourself and you couldn't get up Gordon's hill one time.

Donald: Hahaha! He got you!

James: Damn you Percy. *Whispers*

Alicia: That might be interesting to see two twins take a midnight train.

Douglas: We can do it sir. Leave it to us!

Sir Topham Hatt: Alright you two, I want to make sure you can see where you're going, Tonight is gonna have a chance of rain so it's best to get your train and move before lightning strikes.

Narrator: Soon, Sir Topham left as the others were surprised to hear the news.

Toby: We might not have a best chance of sleep with rain, But be sure you two can see well in the night.

Donald: Oh don't worry, We can see during the night. Just watch us.

Alex: Use your lamps at least, Cause their might be any electrical lights or signals properly working until morning.

Thomas: Well, Anything for yourselves to see mostly. And listen to whistles too see for the night.

Donald: Aye, Like we said, Just watch us, Come on Douggie! Let's get going!

Douglas: On it. I'm coming, Yeesh. What weird weather we have.

Narrator: Soon the caledonians left the sheds as the others began to talk.

Duck: I got a bad feeling about those two.

Alicia: Ah don't worry about them duck, They are stuck together.

Edward: Yeah  they are twins but with little light and a rainstorm coming can spell double trouble for them, And more for all of us.

Percy: Should we try to let them wait?

Thomas: Too late, They both left to get their train from Knapford, I hope that nothing goes wrong.

Narrator: As Donald and Douglas arrived, They found their train waiting as Happ was sleeping. Soon the twins coupled up to their long train but as soon as they did, Oliver puffed up between the two for a little chat.

Douglas: Oh hello Oliver, What's going on?

Oliver: I heard that there was brake troubles on the train so we fixed them and added a brake an cause there were none on it.

Donald: Oh great, More delays for us to not rest faster than before.

Oliver: So I thought of a better idea otherwise to the brakevan problem.

Toad: Hello Mister Donald, Mister Douglas!

Donald: Toad what are you doing in the back of our night train? Shouldn't you be asleep?

Toad: I heard there was no brake vans so Oliver took me and couple me to this train, He said he would pick me up at Vicarstown during the morning so Alex can take this train to the mainland and back. And I don't getting wet by the rain.

Douglas: Well that's a good thing.

Oliver: Good luck you two.

Donald: Thanks Oliver, Come on. Let's move!

Narrator: Soon, The twins left the yard as they made progress through the stations, Everything was going perfectly well. But it looked as if they saw a signal was down and they were forced to stop.

Toad: What's wrong? Something on the line?

Donald: No it's the signal, It's down but I can't see the colors.

Douglas: Well all the lights are off, So it's hard for us to see.

Donald: All of them!? But how can we get going?

Douglas: We got to use our lights, Though they aren't good for seeing ahead.

Donald: Ach, Where's a light when you need it?

Douglas: No worried Donnie, It will come back tomorrow.

Donald: Aye, That be true. We just need to haul this for now.

Douglas: True, And our lights on us can see what we can see.

Donald: But I guess these small things are gonna do for now.

Douglas: Oh, The signal's up. Let's go. *Blows Whistle*

Donald: Agreed, Come on toad. Let's get movin.

Toad: What now.

Narrator: As the two puffed along, They waited where Gordon and Henry were waiting for some lights to see as the two puffed up.

Donald: Oh lookie here, Two engines stopped on the lines.

Henry: Don't bother about it! It's not even our fault!

Douglas: Alright, Alright. What's the matter?

Gordon: We're just waiting but we can't leave cause we got no lights besides our lamps too see and we can't take our trains. And we have to wait for your train also.

Donald: Oh my, Well we can be off for now to get you both going.

Henry: That would be nice. Thank you.

Narrator: Soon the Scottish twins arrived at Vicarstown where they saw Edward and some workmen who were trying to mend some generators and switches as the twins put their train in the siding and looked too see what was going on.

Donald: What's going on?

Edward: We're trying to fix the lights for everywhere but we don't have parts.

Douglas: You can use our train.

Edward: That would be amazing to help.

Narrator: Soon, Edward and the workmen took the parts from the goods train and used it for the switches and generators. After a while, The lights were now working as they cheered in delight, They finally had lights for trains! Then they closed the doors and put the generators under shelter as storms were heard.

Donald: Uh oh.

Douglas: Let's get back.

Narrator: Soon the twins got back into tidmouth sheds where rain poured outside as everyone was happy too see the two back with some light too see.

Duck: Now that's being a great western engine! Using parts for your train to help out with the lights can make you useful!

Douglas: Ach, It's nothing.

Alex: I actually like light against the dark.

Donald: And we might need a rest. Do we now?

Thomas: Agreed!

Narrator: As everyone agreed with the lights being on during the rainstorm outside, The engines went to sleep as they had some light to keep out the dark around them. I would want to sleep with lights on. Would you?
