Leader?!
I think about that everytime I look at Bird. She looks back and me and nods her head, as to say, "Go tell them you want to be leader!" But I don't! Maybe one day, but right now, I'm just not sure what I should do. Wether its the right or wrong thing, I don't know.
Two days after I went hunting with Bird, I walked up to a memeber of our pack, Thunder. I padded up to her, and she turned her head and looked up at me.
"I was wondering if you, Ice and I could go hunting down by the river." I barked.
"Alright!" Thunder stood up. I noticed a rope of some kind hanging from her neck. I should know what it was, but I can't remember. It was something the girls in my old home used to wear.
"What's that thing around your neck?" I asked her. Thunder looked down.
"Oh yeah! That's my good luck charm. I found it along the human's path, and well, it brought me luck in battles and prey when I started to wear it. Isn't that cool?"
"What's it called?"
Thunder thought for a moment. "A necklace, I believe." I nodded to her as Ice trotted up to us. She looked over at me.
"Did you ask her yet?" Ice asked me. I nodded, and she looked back at Thunder. "Alright, we can go now. The plan is that Jay chases the prey into our paws. We will be hinding behind whatever is out there while Jay growls and-"
"Wait." I interrupted her. "Why do I always chase they prey. I'm not new here anymore, or haven't you noticed." She turned around and cast me an icy, blue stare that made me back up a step. She turned her whole body to face me.
"It's the plan, Jay. Just follow the plan." Ice growled. I narrowed my eyes and forced myself not to snap my jaws at her smug face. Why did I ask her to come with us? She'll only boss me around, and I hate that. I am starting to realize I don't like her as much as I thought I did.
"Let's go." Thunder interrupted, clearly pointing out that we should stop arguing. She pushed between me and Ice, and I followed her with my tail up high. Ice growled and trailed behind us as we walked out.
