Chapter 6: Final Selection

The next night Nezuko started her training, Tanjiro was also there to help her if she had any kind of trouble. Now the thing is since Nezuko was a demon Urokodaki was almost giving no care for her safety during her training.

The first one was like Tanjiro's first training, descending the mountain, only this time the first run wasn't safe at all. Knives were thrown at her right from the get go and the pit had spikes in it but thanks to this she was able to train faster and her enhanced demon instincts as well as her strength was helping a lot, though Tanjiro still worried when she came back from the mountain with a knife sticking out from her leg.

Tanjiro: Are you sure Nezuko will be alright?

Urokodaki: Yes she is a demon after-

Door Opens

Urokodaki: Oh she's back

Tanjiro: Nezu..................

Nezuko came back with knives on her arms and legs, and a lot of bruises. She can't die but she needs to sleep to regenerate.

Tanjiro: EEEEEEEEEHHHH Nezuko! Are you alright?!

Nezuko's personality also became somewhat childish, she was almost acting like a toddler sometimes and ever since Makomo pat her head she's been asking for head pats from everyone, This didn't stop her from training however as she kept training every night. Though it is to be noted she can still read and when she read her brother's Journal she might have, let's say blew up on Urokodaki making angry "Hmph Hmph" sounds while flailing her arms around and pointing to the journal. Tanjiro had to calm her down sometimes but she never complained about her training. She also got the falling training.

Tanjiro also helped her with her training, Urokodaki thought it was best to let her brother teach her the Sun forms instead of the Water ones, Tanjiro also agreed on this. He would help her try and perfect the techniques to his degree and even spar with her with wooden swords sometimes. And like before it was easier as she was a demon and the fact that she already knew the forms as fact as well helps.

There was also the spars she would have with Urokodaki, since he is a former pillar his experience should be knowledgeable, The spars would have her use a wooden sword while Urokodaki uses the normal katana Sabito left, in some cases Nezuko's head even got cut off and Tanjiro gets worried every time, she is a demon but he still worries.

She would also have spars where she would be unarmed without a sword and Urokodaki using the katana again, this was so that she could handle herself on both slayers and demons alone with or without a sword though she is stronger with a sword, its impossible to get her one without anyone noticing.

During one spar a week before Tanjiro had to leave for Final Selection something happened, it went out normal at first but then Nezuko did something none of them expected.

"Nezuko, you have grown well" Urokodaki complimented.

Nezuko responded with a grunt as she couldn't talk.

This was the unarmed duel. Nezuko was now able to do the sun breath forms and now she needs experience to fight as a demon, then as she landed another strike at Urokodaki's sword with her claws she bled, she then struck again and flames appeared on her bleeding hands, Blood Demon Art, Flaming Blood. Nezuko struck the sword cutting the old man off guard as he dropped to the ground.

Tanjiro who was watching came to help Urokodaki," Urokodaki-san are you alright?" The young boy asked and he responded with a grunt and a nod. Then they both looked at Nezuko.
