"This part of the X-Avier facility, the cafeteria, is also known for having the best food from around the world, thanks to the amazing scientific development of creating artificial food." Bot said to Krystal as they both entered the huge cafeteria.

Krystal could only marvel at the sight that presented itself to her. There were a lot of empty tables with chairs where people could sit and enjoy their food. On the far left of the huge hall was a thick, large pane of glass through which you could see outside. Now she knew where she would be sitting during her long-awaited meal.

"Have a look around for a seat. There is a digital menu tablet on each table from which you can choose your preferred dish. When you have decided on a dish and would like to order, simply press the order button and I will bring your order to you. In the meantime, I'll have a look around the kitchen behind the counter and try to get the machines up and running." Bot suggested and immediately set about his task. The metallic footsteps he made became quieter as the distance between them grew.

Krystal decided to sit down next to the large pane of glass that was supposed to provide a view of the outside. She sighed, because the only thing she could see were particles of sand flying everywhere. From the looks of it, there was a heavy sandstorm raging outside. She couldn't even imagine how horrible it must be to be outside right now, and she was glad that she was in a large facility that protected her from it.

There was some kind of flat object on the table in front of her. Out of curiosity, she touched it and the black screen came to life when she touched it. She had a startling experience. The screen reacted to the touch of her fingertips. She swiped from left to right and from top to bottom, scrolling through the pages displaying all the things she could order. There was no such thing back in Cerinia. Some things were very advanced and powered by magic, while other things were still very primal, but this was completely new to her.

Unfortunately, she couldn't understand any of the words that were displayed on the screen. She found it really strange that she shared the same language with Blake when speaking, but the letters and even the numbers were completely different.

But all hope was not lost, because next to each word was a picture of the dish being prepared, which the cobalt blue vixen assumed must go with it. So she looked at a few pictures and chose one that she thought tasted the best because it looked like it. After tapping on it, the screen showed her a new page with a big green flashing button that said "Order Now", but she didn't know what that meant. She decided to tap it too and waited, feeling she had done everything right.

It wasn't long before Bot returned with a full tray of what Krystal assumed must be her food. When the golden robot arrived, he placed the tray on the table in front of the blue vixen. Her hungrily growling stomach instantly turned into a dying organ, begging at the last moment not to take a bite. She covered her nose with her hand and turned her head away, giving her "food" a sidelong glance.

"Yuck, what is that!? I'm pretty sure I ordered something else!" she thought, not daring to say the words to upset Bot.

Bot's eyes turned blue, revealing tears as if to express his sadness, his voice still unchanged and devoid of any emotion. "I must apologize. The artificial food creation machine in the kitchen seems to be out of order. Therefore, I can only offer you a limited selection of dishes."

Her fierce hunger evaporated and was replaced by utter disgust as she continued to stare at her "ordered food" from the side. It was a steaming gray jello with bubbles on the surface that threatened to burst at the slightest touch.

A beep sounded from Bot, and a light shone from its eyes, which created a hologram. The hologram showed a human sitting in an office manager's chair. At first Krystal thought it was Blake, but then she remembered that he had a slightly different looking face.
