No search results could be found for "Doctor Pavier". Don't know the faces around you? Try our app designed specifically for all employees at this facility and really get to know your coworkers today." A robotic male voice echoed through the empty main control room.

Someone slammed their fist down on the desk with full force, sending everything on it flying for a second.

"Get to know my employees properly, my ass! Anyone who's ever worked here is fucking dead!" Blake yelled back at the screen.

To say that Blake was upset would be an understatement. Two full days had passed since Blake had returned from his mission, and they had made little progress. At least the production line for components and weapons facility was back up and running. Security had been activated and all weapons defenses were back online, which meant they would be able to fight back if their opponent decided to attack.

They had no clues about the Penetarox Empire, the location of their headquarters, their breakthroughs, plans and so on. All they had was the telepathy manipulation device that was implanted in Krystal's head. Bot tried to dismantle it as carefully as possible without breaking it, but it didn't help them. The technology of this device was simply too foreign to them. So they decided to destroy it completely by sending it into space and blasting it with the Cosmic Beam Eraser. The last thing they needed was for the Penetaroxes to track them down via the device.

Blake sighed as he navigated through the computer's archive. The name Pavier evoked something in him. He felt like he had heard the name before, long before he had infiltrated the Penetarox lab. The voice prompt that sounded in the Penetarox lab sounded familiar and not robotic, as if it came from a human.

Blake clenched both his fists. He had a theory about all this, but he wasn't one hundred percent sure. He believed that Pavier was one of the former scientists here at the facility who had escaped and sided with the Penetarox. Therefore, he was rewarded and became a valuable asset to the Penetarox.

"The bastard probably destroyed all the evidence before he left..." Blake muttered maliciously to himself.

If there was another way to find out, it would be the facility's forgotten archive complex. It had been abandoned before the war.

"Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a look in the abandoned part of the facility. Who knows, I might find some other useful information." Blake thought before getting up from his chair.

His journey to the abandoned part of the facility was rather boring and uneventful. Since he was at the other end, deep underground, Blake decided to use the transit system to get here. The railing and the tram used the latest magnetic coupling technology, which allowed the tram to hover above it. This technology allowed the tram to travel extremely fast without relying too much on power.

The lights on the walls of the tunnel passed quickly, each one briefly illuminating the inside of the tram, which was only weakly lit. Blake just sat and waited. His impatience was evident in the frequent tapping of his foot on the floor. He groaned with anger and clenched his fists as he thought about his theory again.

"Why is that fucker stabbing us in the back like that? What does he hope to gain from all this?" Blake thought angrily to himself.

"Now arriving at-" The announcement system in the tram could no longer be completed, as the loudspeakers inside the tram were no longer working and were instead reproducing static and noise. The low hum of the tram engine also stopped as the tram came to a halt in the middle of the tunnel. And finally, the light flickered before it went out, leaving Blake alone in the darkness with his eyes glowing red.

Blake took a deep breath and sighed before roughly tapping his wrist communicator several times.

"I hope it wasn't what I think it was..." Mumbled Blake to himself as he tried to reach Krystal over the voice comm. But after waiting a few seconds, he lost patience and sent her a voice message instead.
