Chapter ten: Restricted power (Rewritten)

"Surgical operation successfully completed. Extraction of a non-biological object inplanted in the frontal lobe." A soothing, muffled, robotic-sounding female voice rang out in the treatment room.

As soon as the voice stopped, the restraints holding his limbs opened and he was able to sit up on the surgeon's bed and move freely.

"Ugh... My head... Pain..." Doctor Pavier mumbled to himself as he touched his forehead and felt the stitches.

"So they removed the device from me... I'm finally free from the Penetarox's grip!" The older scientist cheered to himself.

His master plan, the calculations, every aspect of what he had done so far was right. Hundreds of hours without sleep had really paid off. Now all he had to do was find Blake and explain the whole situation to him, as well as his master plan to put a stop to the Penetarox empire once and for all.

He was about to leave the surgeon's bed, but as his boots were about to touch the cold floor, the door of the hospital room he was in opened with a quick hiss. The scientist flinched as he heard metallic and loud footsteps approaching him. He turned around and saw a golden robot emerge from the corner. The robot turned its head and stared at Pavier with red glowing eyes that expressed anger.

The doctor began to tremble. If Bot decided to attack him here and now, there was no way to defend himself.

"Take it easy, B-Bot. I'm Doctor Pavier, remember? Second in command of this facility, right a-after Xavier himself." the scientist stuttered, trying to maintain his stern voice.

"No, not anymore, and besides, I don't take orders from traitors." Replied the robot in an expressionless voice.

The man raised his arm to protect himself as best as he could as Bot approached him even closer before the robot stood in front of him.

"You will have to come with me." Bot said in a much deeper and menacing voice. The last thing the doctor saw was Bot's mechanical golden hand reaching for him before he passed out and saw only blackness.

"Uhh... Uhhh..." The older man groaned softly in pain as he slowly regained consciousness. He opened his eyes only to see a sharp white light stabbing into his eyes, everything else looked too blurry to make out. He sat against a wall and tried to move his hands, but couldn't as they were tied tightly behind his back. His vision returned as the blur slowly faded, and he saw four angry people staring at him.

"Rise and fucking shine. Took you long enough!" Blake spat out angrily.

Doctor Pavier froze as he recognized them. Blake stood in the middle with his arms crossed and a look that would give him nightmares for the rest of his life. To Blake's left stood Chris. He too had his arms crossed, and the angry look on his face was no more forgiving than Blake's.

To Blake's right stood Krystal. Her left eye twitched as she stared at the man who was responsible for everything, for the destruction of her home, for the loss of friends and family, and for the destruction of her hopes and dreams. She fought the urge to cry, forcing all the unstable emotions to stay in her head so they couldn't erupt.

Bot stood on the far left, immobile, with his arms turned into Gatling guns and pointed directly at the intruder.

"What... The... Hell... Are you waiting for!? Explain yourself this instant if you don't want to be reduced to atoms!" screamed Chris, losing his temper.

"All right, all right... First of all, let's all calm down-" the doctor said, before being interrupted by the Cerinian.

"Calm down? You want me to calm down!? My planet is doomed because of you idiot and so is my species because I am the last survivor of my kind!!!" She pulled out her staff and charged a blast, but didn't fire immediately. The scientist tried to crawl back, but a wall behind him prevented him from escaping, not that he had any chance at all.
