Chapter 3: Making of New Friends, and a Time to Think

It has been a couple hours since I met my new roommates, and to put it simply it went better than I thought. I thought I would be barraged with millions of questions but they heard my story, leaving out the nemesis stuff, and asked a few questions to clarify afterwards. I was genuinely surprised and as they processed what I shared and answered, Nate raised his hand.

Nate: So, last question, and I bet everyone here would ask the same, but.......with you attending this school and everything, will that change how the school will work or anything of that sort?

Blake: from what I know it will not, though it may make students very intrigued, and fascinated that a human is still around and who knows what, but it shouldn't effect how the school will run their classes from what I am told.

Mack: Well, that will bring some......attention, maybe some we don't want.

Ben: Yeah, and Blake I suggest you stay on the safe side and not make any friends straight away, mainly as some may just use you for their own gain.

Blake: Kay, I will do that but I get the feeling you have more to tell.

Upon saying this Mack and Ben looked at each other as Nate sighed.

Nate: To put it simply, this school won't be like your human school that you attended. The school has.....factions to say the least and the one that has been predominant is a faction led by a wolf, like me, named Anthony. He sorta runs the student stuff and even pressures the class presidency into doing stuff. Having you here may draw his attention and when it comes to drawing attention he may see you as a threat. He doesn't like others stealing the popularity he gained, so be careful and one last thing best you stick with mack if you plan on wandering campus as Anthony doesn't mess with sharks, mainly due to how ferocious they can be.

Mack: Exactly, its why us sharks have a reputation at the school.

Blake: Kay, thats good to know, though this Anthony you mentioned, anything I should be careful in what I say or speak about?

Nate: Well, from your story you mentioned you and a Shark named Sarah, and the fact you are in a relationship, be careful when you mention her as Anthony may target her to get to you. Look, though I said him and his gang don't mess with sharks, female sharks are a different story. Depending on the shark they may target them if they gain something, if not they won't do it. As for how you and her are seen in public, best you talk to her about this as the last thing we need is another.........public display.

Blake: Public display?

Ben: Yeah, a year or two ago, a kid in the sports team got really good at what he did and lets say he began to be popular among the ladies. Though that kid wasn't trying to do that, Anthony took offense and.......

Nate: Embarrassed him in front of everyone and kept doing it in very.......brutal and downgrading ways.

Ben: He became their slave and seeing that showed that Anthony will go to extreme lengths to keep what he has worked hard to get. All we are saying is, be careful, the last thing we need is you getting hurt or worse.

Mack: Though not getting Anthony's attention won't be easy especially since your human and you will be showing that you are human to everyone.

Ben: With that being said, be careful and stick with one of us. And for you girls safety, tell Sarah the situation though I bet she already knows.

I nodded, though the thought of Sarah being a target just because I get some attention worried me. Thinking about it, it just showed that revealing that a human still was around will not only bring some good things, but the bad would also follow. Nonetheless, it was then when Nate got up and stretched.
