Chapter 7: Not according to Plan, for them anyways

As me, Nate, Ben, and Mack arrived at what would be the school commons, we entered the front doors and see a large wave of people. Many danced on the dance floor, others chatted away in groups, while others were messing around. It was more tame than I thought it would be as Nate smirked.

Nate: Been awhile since we been out, also thought you said Sarah was going to be here.

Blake: I did, though she did say she had to do a few things beforehand. Must be running late, or is almost here, either or she will be here.

Nate nodding at the explanation, Mack and Ben looked about.

Nate: Something the matter guys?

Mack: Nothing, just surveying the crowd, you guys have fun, me and Ben are going to mingle.

Ben: If its mingling with the popular girl group again you can count me out.

Mack: It was fun, you just have to open up more.

With that Ben sighed, as Mack led the way, me and Nate remaining near the entrance.

Nate: well, I guess while we wait, let's grab a drink or two. It will at least distract us, though the plan for tonight, have some fun, possibly make a few friends, and relax a bit.

I couldn't disagree with him, as I began making my way to the drinks, seeing various lemonades and punches. Taking a lemonade cup I took a swig and smiled, the taste being perfect. Nate took a cup of his own, smiling.

Nate: Well, I am going to look around a bit, hopefully being alone won't be an issue.

He said with a joking tone. I shook my head, chuckling a bit.

Blake: No, just be careful, last thing we need is some trouble being started.

Nate: Agreed, be safe Blake, and hopefully you make some new friends along the way. 

SOon Nate left as I looked amongst the crowd. Nervousness filling me as a rabbit girl, wearing a flower tiara approached me. She smiled, having a bubbly attitude, and smiled as she spoke. SHe wore a flower dress, and some sandals, which was far different than the other party goers.

Rabbit: You must be Blake, Sarah's boyfriend!

Blake: Yes and you are?

Meggy: Names Meggy, I am Sarah's roommate. Surprised to see she isn't here, despite you enjoying yourself.

Blake: SHe is running late but will be here soon.

Meggy: Typical Sarah, anyways, you just get here?

Blake: Yes, and being a friend of Sarah's maybe you can tell me a bit of what one can do at this party.

Meggy: Certainly, though unlike the other parties this one is more of a mingle, get together one. 

Blake: I see, care for a drink?

Meggy: Sure, though if it be alright, mind if we talked in a more hushed tone?

I nodded as I grabbed a drink for her, giving to her as I sat down in a nearby chair. SHe sat down next to me, as she looked around a bit.
