Kurama gave up his life to help Naruto defeat Jigen. Before Kurama can join the afterlife, his father Hagoromo Otsutsuki offers him a chance to help another world. Kurama accepted but didn't expect to start over as a kit.

"Kurama." Kurama's eyes open slowly and stretch his limbs. Kurama lay back down and recognizes the Chakra Signature, Hagoromo Otsutsuki.
" Why are you here old man." The old man smiles at his Son's attitude.
"I'm here to give you a chance to live again," Kurama growls.
" I already lived my life. Plus, I used up the entirety of my chakra to help Naruto." Kurama closes his eyes thinking back to his final conversation with his partner and friend, Naruto.
" Who says I'm bringing you back into the same world." This catches Kurama's attention.
" What are you saying."
" Let's say I have found a world where you can start a new life."
" What makes you think I will accept your offer."
" This world has a dark future ahead of it. I want you to help bring peace when the events happen." Kurama signs in annoyance and closes his eyes.
" I'm not accepting, just leave me be."
" Kurama, what would Naruto do if he was in your position."
'He would probably agree to know the idiot. Then again, he always put his life on the line, especially when it come to his comrades. At least he became more responsible as time went on."Kurama smiles sadly knowing if he accepted, he wouldn't be able to see Naruto for a long time.
" Tell me something old man, what has happened since my death."
" Naruto mourned you for a long time. Your siblings did as well. But, they didn't let your death be in vain. It took time but the Elemental Nations entered another era of peace. Naruto and Hinata had another kid, and to honor you, they named him Kurama Uzumaki." Kurama chuckles softly.
" It's nice to know Naruto will never let the village forget me. Very well, old man, I have made a decision. I will accept your offer, to honor Naruto, I will help bring peace to this world." Hagoromo smiles and gathers an immense amount of Chakra. In a bright flash, Kurama is gone.

Kurama opens his eyes and finds himself next to a pond. Kurama looks at his surroundings and notices the trees are bigger than him. Kurama looks at his reflection with the pond's help and screeches.
