Kurama gave up his life to help Naruto defeat Jigen. Before Kurama can join the afterlife, his father Hagoromo Otsutsuki offers him a chance to help another world. Kurama accepted but didn't expect to start over as a kit.

Salem looks out her window from the cabin she built. It's been Five Hundred years since the gods abandoned Remnant. She sits down on her bed thinking about her past actions.
After she saw Kurama be disintegrated before her eyes, she was consumed by anger. This anger caused her to attack the twin gods.
Salem was knocked out by the God of light. She woke up moments later underwater. She swam up and gasped for air. When she regained her senses, she found herself in the God of Light's domain. Salem looked at her hand, noticing a glow. Salem immediately questioned the gods.
It was then that she learned the horrible truth, she was cursed by the two brother gods. She was made Immortal. Salem found herself in a forest. Wanting to avenge her friend and husband, she made it her goal to unite the Kingdoms and bring the Twin gods down. It took a month but she managed to convince the Kingdoms by showing to them her immortality.
Salem leads her army to the God of Light's domain. They made it to the pool where the God of Light was waiting for them in his Dragon form. Seconds later his brother arrived at his brother's side.
Salem walked to the front of the army and the twin brother Gods immediately knew what has happened. Salem signaled for the attack to start. The army used their magic to attack the brothers but the God of Darkness wasn't in the mood when seeing Salem. So he absorbed the Magic to make an Orb. Moments later he squeezed it and a worldwide attack happened.
Salem survived but the rest of Remnant didn't. The Twin gods left the planet after giving Salem their last words. In the process, the God of Darkness destroyed half the moon. Months later Salem tried to end her life wanting to join Ozma and Kurama in the afterlife, so she made her way to the pool of Grimm. She jumped down and waited for her death but it didn't come. Instead, all she felt was pain before it stopped. Salem swam to the surface with her new look.

Salem stands up and walks outside. Salem signs, wishing for Kurama and Ozma to be at her Side. Salem is about to head back inside but stops when sensing a large amount of Magic gathering at one location. Salem looks at the direction it comes from and knows what is in that direction.
The God of Darkness destroyed domain. Salem uses her magic to fly.
(Minutes Later)
Salem lands and watches as Magic is gathering in one spot. However, Magic isn't the only thing Salem senses, she also senses something else entirely but doesn't know what it is. Salem backs up when the unknown energy and Magic start to combine into one being.
Salem gasps and holds back her tears as the Figure starts shaping into her friend, Kurama. Kurama figure starts growing into the size of a mountain. Salem gets launched back when the energy burst. Salem used her magic to stabilize herself. Salem watches as Kurama's fur starts appearing. Moments later, Kurama is fully reformed. Salem watches as Kurama starts waking up.
