Kurama's New Home

Chapter I

It's been a year since Kurama was revived into this new World. At first, It took Kurama a while to get used to being a kit again. After a few months, he grew to be the size of a Dog. Kurama has been exploring the new world. He explored multiple small villages and watched the residents. He has met the Kings of the world. 

But what caught his attention the most was Magic. Kurama watched training sessions from time to time. He was not really impressed seeing as Magic wasn't as destructive as Chakra but it was more concentrated. Kurama has been caught a few times sneaking around but nobody suspects anything from a small fox. But, he wasn't a normal fox in people's eyes, especially since he had nine tails. 

This has caused Kurama to be extra cautious since the Kings were giving a reward for his capture. But. this wouldn't stop him from exploring. 

Today, Kurama is planning on exploring a tower he ran into a few days ago. Kurama stretches having awakened from his nap recently. Kurama starts making his way to the tower he ran into and walks around it, analyzing it. Kurama walks towards the tower but gets shocked when trying to enter. 

'So, it has a protective barrier around it, interesting. If I'm correct, I have probably alerted the owner of the Tower already.' Kurama hears the Front Entrance open as a fully armoured man comes out. 

Kurama senses the amount of Magic the Man has and is impressed. His reserves don't compare to the leaders of the world but he has a Massive amount of Magic. 

" Who's there?" The Man is carrying a staff scans the area searching for the intruder. Kurama walks towards the tower entrance having noticed the Barrier has gone down when the Owner exited the Tower. 

The man not spotting anything near goes back inside. Kurama waits underneath a table until the man closed the door and got out of sight. Kurama starts exploring the area noticing the interior. 

' Doesn't look that bad, but I prefer living outside knowing I don't get bothered that much by anything except those annoying black Creatures.' Kurama freezes in his tracks when hearing a door open to his left. 

(A few moments ago)

Salem was a girl who didn't have a normal childhood. Since her sixth birthday, she has learned to take care of herself. Her father, if she can even call him that, doesn't care for her anymore. He does visit from time to time, but it's super rare. 

Because of this, Salem has grown to hate her father. It got worst when finding out that she can't leave the tower. She went outside one day to explore, but when she got back, she was punished. Her father locked her in her room for a whole week. She turns fifteen today but why would she care. Her father never celebrated her birthday. All he does is drink heavily since it also marks the death of her mother. 

Salem's curiosity spiked when hearing quiet footsteps outside her door and a shadow appearing from the other side of the door. Salem opens her bedroom door but doesn't see anyone. She looks towards the floor and sees a small fox with Nine Tails. 

" Hey little buddy, how did you get in." Salem crouches and picks up the fox gently. Kurama growls softly at Salem. 

"You're so cute!" Salem smiles and pets Kurama. Kurama relaxes under Salem's touch but is still annoyed at being caught. 

' I still don't know how I was caught. I wasn't caught by a grown person but a teenager catches me and treats me like a pet. At least she isn't making a fuss over my tails. Now that I think about it, why isn't she making a fuss about my Nine Tails?' Kurama looks around noticing the girl has entered her room and closed the door. 

Kurama looks around and doesn't see a single picture. All he sees is a Table, Mirror, bed, and a shelf filled with books. Kurama is put on the bed as Salem walks towards her Shelf, in search of a book. Kurama makes himself comfortable and lays down. 

Salem finds the book she wanted and sits on her bed to read it. Kurama looks at the Title and reads it ' Animals.' Salem turns the pages until she reaches the chapter she is looking for. Salem immediately realizes the fox next to her isn't a normal fox. 

" You have Nine-Tails, what kind of fox are you." Salem walks back to her shelf and attempts to remember what book she has read that talked about Nine-Tailed Foxes. She remembers and searches for it. Kurama opens his eyes when feeling Salem sit back down with a more interesting book, ' Mythical Creatures.' 

Salem flips to the pages until finding the page that talks about Kyuubi's. 

" These beasts are one of the most dangerous creatures that are said to have excited long ago. They are highly intelligent and powerful. It is said that they could match Hydra's in battles. Reason being that they are immune to Hydra's poison and can use their destructive power to kill the creature before it can even regenerate. They can even manipulate their size. It is said that if someone were to befriend one of these creatures, they can work together with the creature." Salem reads the rest of the chapter but doesn't find more useful information. 

" I wonder if you're a Kyuubi. Maybe you're just a regular Fox that was born with Nine-Tails." Salem could have sworn that she saw Kurama huff in annoyance. Salem lays down and hugs Kurama. Kurama was about to struggle but Salem's next words make him rethink his decision. 

" You know, I don't mind you staying here. It's not like my father would find you. He barely visits me and doesn't care about me one bit. Maybe one day I will be saved from this prison." Salem hugs Kurama tightly before going to sleep. 

'What Kind of childhood did you have girl. Neglect from your own parent, and views her home as a prison. Perhaps I will stay for a while. Not like I will grow attached to her.' Kurama wraps his tails around Salem and lays his head on her chest. Kurama lets sleep take him.
