Chapter 33- Pancakes.

It's cold. You're missing your warmth.
You groan, rubbing your eyes. You slowly turn over to find and empty half of the bed. You shot upwards, dizziness crowding your head. You stabilize yourself as you peered around the room.

Empty.

You felt your heart slowly begin to sink.

Did he really leave you?

No. He didn't. He wouldn't.
He was probably just out in the living room playing with Teucer.

But boy were you wrong.

You peered your head over to the pile of clothing propped on the nightstand.
You reach over, grabbing the article of clothing and the note that lay on top of it.

Good morning, sunshine!

I hope you weren't too alarmed to wake up without me next to you~ You are such a snuggle bug!

You slightly cringed at that last sentence. You shook it off, giggling to yourself.
Childe didn't seem like the type of person to be that cheesy, but never say never.

I'm sad to say this, but I was called in for work. Without you, I know, strange.
I thought I called off, but of course you know them!
Just some silly debt collection~
Anyways, I'll be back soon enough. Just please stay put and wait for me. I've included Teucer's and your adventure fund, so please feel free to venture out into town. But make sure you remain out of sight of the Fatui Agents, I don't want you getting drug to boring work too. Please have fun with him and buy whatever you wish.

Also, please use my jacket to cover yourself up. It's pretty cold outside, and I don't want you freezing. Or you could just wear it if you miss me.

That messy handwriting, and the poorly drawn smiley face. There were little circles across the paper. They looked almost like tear drops. You clutched onto the paper, taking a deep breath before tossing it to the side.

Your heart skipped a beat as you brought the jacket closer to you. It smelled like him. As if he were still right next to you.

Oh right. You're still naked.
But low and behold, a pile of clothes was waiting for you as well. You grabbed for the pile and began dissecting through it, dressing yourself.

What would you do without him?

Knock Knock

"Y/NNNNNNNNN! You awake?" You heard Teucer's voice from behind the door.

You slipped the jacket on over your undershirt, buttoning and fastening whatever needed what.
You tied your hair back, climbing out of bed.
You yanked open the door to be greeted by the enthusiastic Teucer.

"Good morning, peanut." You smiled.

Teucer wrapped his arms around you, hopping around, "Brother is away so now I get y/n time!" He rejoiced.

You felt a slight frown begin to form on your face before you plastered a fake grin over top of it.

"That's right, and big brother even left some mora for you so we can go into town," you crouched down, "Sound like fun?" You waved the little pouch in the air.
