"So, when did you find out Lydia made out with Scott?" Allison asked, her eyes glued to the road ahead and her tone uninterested, but Diana knew better than that.

Choking in her own spit in surprise, Diana widened her eyes as she turned her head to look at Allison from her place at the passenger seat in her car before biting her lip quietly, wondering what she should do now.

"I... I don't..."

"Oh, come on now, Diana." Allison shook her head. "I know you know what I'm talking about. And it's fine, okay? I just want to know... Since when?"

Diana sighed then, looking down at her lap as she fidgeted with her fingers, knowing full well she wouldn't have another way out of it but to come clean to Allison.

"Just the other day." She said, as Allison turned to glance at her quickly with a raised eyebrow. "I swear! I mean... I kind of suspected it since it happened but... I didn't know for sure until... Until the other night. Lydia went over to my house after Jackson broke up with her and admitted it to me."

At that, Allison sighed, nodding her head as she kept her eyes on the road.

"Ally, I'm sorry..."

"I just... I don't get it..." Allison frowned, causing Diana's heart to ache in her chest. "I mean, I know Lydia is your best friend and all, but I thought... I just thought I was too."

"You are!" Diana protested, as Allison turned around to take another look at Diana before smiling a little when she saw nothing but quiet desperation in the girl's eyes. "You are, Allison, I promise you are, it's just... Lydia, she..."

"You've known each other since you were little, I know." Allison nodded. "It wasn't fair of me to say that, you two are best friends and I'm the new girl."

"You are our best friend too, Ally." Diana assured, reaching a hand over to place it on Allison's knee, smiling when the brunette did too. "I promise you are. Lydia and I really, really like you."

"You do?"

"We do." Diana nodded. "It's just... Lydia can be a little... Selfish sometimes, but I promise she cares for you and... And the reason why I didn't tell you was because..."

"Lydia's been your best friend for years." Allison said. "I understand. And I forgive you."

"Thanks, I guess, but... But that was not the reason." Diana shook her head, biting her lip as she looked out of the window of Allison's car while the brunette turned to her quickly, with a frown.

"It wasn't?" She asked, as Diana shook her head. "Then what was it?"

"The reason why I didn't tell you was because... I knew Lydia was feeling bad for it and I knew that she'd feel even worse if you did find out and I didn't want her to feel bad because... Because I like her." She admitted quietly, Allison's expression shifting from confusion to understanding in half a second. "I mean... I really like her."

"Oh." Allison nodded, sighing quietly as she turned around to look at Diana with a smile. "I get it. You were... You were trying to protect her."

"Yes." Diana whispered, lifting her eyes to meet Allison's again and smiling a little when she noticed she wasn't looking as angry as she was before anymore. "But I hurt you in the process and I'm sorry."

"That's okay." Allison said, turning back around to look at the road, her voice sounding a little lighter now as Diana let out a breath of pure relief. "But I'm still a little mad at both of you, Lydia especially, so, before we actually go shopping, I'd like to take you two to a little errand with me and, whatever I say, I don't want to hear any complaints from you, okay? Because... It might look that way, but I'm not actually trying to hurt Lydia, okay? I just... Feel like I deserve a little moment, okay?"
