"My name is Wu. Who are you?"

"Uhm-"

For the first time in centuries, time seemed to of stood still as the girl locked eyes with the golden pair before her. After all these ages, was it finally the day she had been waiting for? Was this the alleged Golden Master prophesied to lead her back into Fate's hands?

Silence took over the air between them as the mysterious girl simply stared in disbelief. Passing vehicles on the paved road zoomed past and the fading lantern over their heads quietly flickered..

"..What's your name?"

He asked her for her name. The girl blinked, snapping back out of her thoughts. She had spent so long in the folds of time, it seems she wasn't even capable of holding a simple conversation with anyone anymore! She was left alone in her thoughts for so long the common knowledge that no one could read her mind seemed to have slipped away. As did the answer to the golden eyed man's easy question..

"My- my name.."

"Yes, what is your name? What is a Spellcaster doing here in Ninjago City?"

As Wu's eyes continued to glare he began to notice the anxiety taking over her. The simple interaction was overwhelming. She continued to only stand silently before him, clenching the old tapered scroll in her clearly child-like hands..

"I see.. You are lost."

The girl's eyes widened with the word. While she remembered her purpose, it being the only thing on her mind for so long, she was still locked away in her cage- bars thicker than steal entrapping her, those being the concept of time itself.

The girl's posture slumped back as the word processed in her mind, and she nodded. Wu sighed, a long stroke of his ages-old beard following his pattern of breath.

"You must be where the smokes were leading me to.. I am Sensei Wu. I run a monastery East of here, training Elemental Masters. If you'd like to be found, you can come with me."

The girl's eyes widened, hope began to sink back into her eyes, lightening the ruby pigment.

Wu turned around, walking back into the darkness behind the light post and stepping out of the park. The girl tucked her scroll back into her cloak, slipped her tattered hood back on, and braced herself as she took the first few steps away from the bench- Officially entering the city she had watched grow for centuries past. She stumbled a little.

She followed Wu through the city, passing more and more lights and brilliant structures of the new age. She had stared at nothing but the stars and their constellations for thousands of years but now her eyes were locked on the ground surrounding them. It was a bright, bustling city in the night, artificial lights so bright neither the moon or stars could compete. People walked cheerfully down the streets, and shops were open offering foods, toys, and clothes she had never seen before. The road they followed from the park seemed to stretch on forever, even reaching beyond the horizon.

Wu and the girl passed a building of glass, and from either the inside or out, music played. It was a sound she had never heard before, energetic and addictive.

Her pace slowed as she looked in the display- inside sat a giant window-like box. A group of men stood on a stage within the frame. They were singing. It was such a unique and catchy tune, she put her hands on the glass, leaning in to watch the small men perform splendidly.

Wu noticed her stopping to marvel at the TV display, tapping her feet along with the music of the famous Ninjago City Blacksmith Quartet. He couldn't help but smile as the girl's body unknowingly began bopping along to the song.
