As Circuit walked down the hallway, exploring the monastery, she found herself ending up standing before an unfamiliar series of doors. She put an ear up against each one only for her curiosity to be met with concluding silence.
As she continued down the hall, a familiar sound caught her attention-
"That song.."
Circuit followed her ears, being lured back to the doorways. The music got louder and louder as she ended up before one particular dark wood door. She leaned an ear in to listen and began to fully recognize the tune-
She pressed herself to the door as she eavesdropped, her body acting on a mind of it's own and swaying to the beat. Eventually she was in her own little world as her tiny boogie took over the hall. But suddenly her feet misguided her right smack back into the door. In other words, she fell.
The door opened, revealing the familiar Earth ninja and his polished emerald green eyes-
"Circuit?"
Cole couldn't help but laugh,
"What are you doing? And On the floor?"
Cole lent her a hand, helping the little girl to her feet.
"I heard the music-"
"Oh, was it that loud? ..You like the Blacksmiths?"
"Who-?"
"The Blacksmith Quartet. They're a singing group. Here, come in!"
Cole gestured for Circuit to follow him in what must be his bedroom. Old take-out food boxes glittered the floor along with the occasional forgotten sock. Several miscellaneous posters littered the back wall, framing his bed that was sloppily covered in printed black and orange covers. It was such a disorganized mess compared to the rooms in the women's quarters..
"Look-"
Cole pointed to his phone leaning against an old fashioned speaker. There played the same video Circuit saw on television the night Sensei Wu brought her to the monastery. Her eyes widened-
"Those men!"
"You know them?? Pretty sure they aren't that old-"
"I saw it on a TV! This song.. here!! And then he dances!"
Circuit pointed excitedly at the screen, as her index finger landed on the lead singer, he stepped out of line performing his memorable dance routine.
"It's amazing!!"
"That- is the Triple Tiger Sashay! One of the hardest dance moves ever in the industry! And that guy- is my dad."
"Your- dad?"
"Mhm! After my mom passed we didn't really get along but ever since I went to visit him for the Blade Cup a couple years back with the guys, everything's been alright. I won the dance competition thanks to him! Over coming our complicated relationship was also what eventually lead me to unlock my true potential and- Hey!"
Circuit picked up the phone screen, taking it out of Cole's hands and holding up to his face. She looked between the two men and began noticing the small signs of resemblance. Circuit's jaw dropped-
"Can you do this?!"
"uh.. sing? No. The Triple Tiger Sashay? Yes."
"Do it."
Circuit, still holding his phone, leaned in to his eyes with her own- sparkling with expectance. Cole nervously stepped back, but after looking into her hopeful gaze, he couldn't help but give in with a defeated sigh..
