HUNTER'S POV

I woke up from little rascal pecking at my head.

Before I open my eyes I hear and feel breathing and a heart beat.

I open my eyes to see Edric laying down asleep with my resting my head on his chest.

I look around to find what time it was.

"EDRIC WAKE UP WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL"

Edric woke up immediately and we both rushed to school.

We said our goodbyes before leaving to go to our classes.

Today I couldn't focus much in close I kept thinking about last night, I basically confessed to Edric that I loved him but I didn't know what was happening.
After school me and Edric hangout again, it was the usual talk near the tree, Ed taught me some spells with illusions, we both acted like last night never happened until...
Me and Edric decided to go get some icescream. (Basically ice cream but in the boiling isles it's ice scream).

"What flavor you want"

I didn't know what I should tell Ed I had never had icescream.

"Uhh I've never had icescream".

Edric'e eyes and mouth both widen.

" I'd like a mint with chocolate chip and one lemon with sweet scream in the middle"

Edric tells this to the woman who was serving us.

Edric hands me the icescream cone.

I take one little lick out of the cone.

"Mm it's actually really good"

Edric laughs while he takes small licks out of his icescream.

After we finish our icescream we go on a walk.

"Um hunter "

Edric seemed  nervous and red.

"Yea"?

" Grom is tomorrow so I was wondering if you wanted to be my grom date"

I knew what grom was I had read lots of books about it but I had never seen it or went there.

"Oh um sure Edric that'd be fun".

Edric gets really happy and starts cheering to himself.

Next day a few hours before grom.

They announced the grom queen me and Edric didn't know who she was so we didn't bother.

" hold still I'm trying to brush"
Luz continues to brush my hair VERY UNGENTLE .
After my hair is all brush she grabs a towel and soakes it in hot water.

She dranches my face with the towel.

I get my suit on,  Eda and Luz made a few adjustments.
My suit was red and purple, it had a very tight belt that I didn't like and  had redish  purplish leather gloves on.

I heard a knock on the door me and Luz rush to see who it was..

Both Amity and Edric stood there.

Amity had a violet dress on with flowers running down the gown while Edric had a grey and gold suit on.

We finally make it to grom.
The lights where bright and there was like hundreds of kids and confetti and food.

I looked around the huge place until Edric takes my hand.

"Look at all this delicious food"

Edric starts taking one of each.
I move my fingers to the chips.
Ugh this food isn't sanitary why am I eating it.

I bring it up to my mouth, I hesitate but I finally take a bite.

Edric looks outside to see an old wooden dance floor that probably hadn't been used in over 40 years.

" let's go out there "

Before I can even say one little word he took me hand and ran out the building.

"May a take this dance"
Edric bows down  with his hand out.

I couldn't help but to blush a little.
I put my hand in his. He twirled me around then pushed me into him making our foreheads to touch.

We dance around the whole wooden dance floor no matter how bad it  creeked.

After the dance we sit down letting our legs hang off the edge of the dance floor.

" um Edric"
I was finally ready nothing was going to stop me now.

I here soft hum from Edric that mimic yes.

"Do you .. Do you wanna go out with me".

I look at Edric to see him frozen with his face as red as a tomato.

Edric look at me with a sparkle in his eyes.

" I thought you never ask".

Edric got closer to me and cupped my face with his hands.

He smiled while looking down at me.

Edric pulled his lips to mine.

Sorry if this was cringy 🥲🥲 I will stop posting chapters so often because I have school and I'll be really busy and stuff so I'll probably post 1 chapter about once a day.
