"smile!" Y/N took a polaroid picture of Deena driving. "woah! babe- i'm driving." Deena half scolded; meaning she wasn't really mad.

"but you look so pretty." Y/N pouted. she took the developing photo and set it in the dash along with some others. "i can't wait till you meet my parents!" Y/N sighed a happy sigh and slumped down into the seat liking out the window.

"yeah..can't wait." Deena had to admit she was a little nervous. meeting her girlfriends parents for the first time is nerve-racking, all Deena could think about was messing up and embarrassing herself.

Y/N looked at Deena. she looked nervous, so Y/N grabbed her hand that was resting on the gearshift. "you're going to do fine." Y/N comforted. using her thumb Y/N rubbed Deenas knuckle.

"what if i say something wrong?" Deena wailed. Y/N rolled her eyes. "my parents aren't people to judge. they would never laugh at you, in that way." Y/N promised.

"now stop talking like this, and pull over so i can drive." Deena rolled her eyes but pulled over.

"babe?" Y/N shook Deena awake. Deena opened her eyes. "it's pretty late, but we're here." Deena shifted in her seat to look out of the window. they were parked in front of a large house. Deena glanced at the time,

"it's almost 11, wouldn't your parents be asleep by now?" Deena questioned. "they might be, but i still have my room we can sleep in." Y/N suggested. "alright.. let's go." Deena shrugged.

the girls stepped out of the car, not really bothering to grab their bags, just a few blankets and the food they were snaking on.

"i'm sure my parents will make breakfast tomorrow and actually meet you." Y/N grabbed the key from her chain and unlocked the house.

the faint smell of a fruity-sweet smell came from the house, "just how i remembered.." Y/N smiled. she moved out when she was around 18-ish, her and her parents agreed it was time for her to become a grown adult.

Y/N tossed her keys in the bowl by the door and slipped her shoes off. "don't get your shoes on the carpet..dirt, you know." Y/N pointed out. Deena kicked off her shoes and stepped into the living room.

"i like your paintings." Deena admired the large paintings on the plain white wall. "damn, even the same paintings! this places hasn't changed a bit." she missed her house. the same house she's lived in since the 4th grade. how could she not miss her childhood home?

"come on, let's go to my room." Y/N walked up the stairs of her house, Deena followed. blankets still stuffed in her arms.

Y/N noticed how nothing changed. like nothing  at all. she shrugged it off and opened her door. "man.." Y/N giggled. the same posters were still up and her walls were still light blue. "oh my-" Deena bit her lip, hiding the small laughs. Y/N looked at Deena and almost started bursting out laughing. "shhh!" Y/N tried to cover her laugh.

Deena shoved the blankets in her face, trying to muffle the laughter. Y/N pushed Deena out of the way and closed her bedroom door. "shut up." Y/N rolled her eyes.

"how adorable!" Deena dropped the blankets on her bed. "who didn't have a Justin Bieber, phase?" Y/N was taking about the silly poster she still had up as a joke, but never took it down.

"ugh, i'm tired." Deena rubbed her eyes. "hope my bed is good enough for you." Y/N rolled her eyes jokingly. Deena smiled and pulled Y/N by her arm. "you know i love you." Deena rubbed her thumb against Y/Ns cheek.

Y/N kissed Deenas palm. "i know, baby.. i love you." she smiled and pulled Deena into a kiss. quick but meaningful.
