I looked at the rest of the membees of CLC. They looked uneasy as to how to take the news. As the leader, it was my job to reassure them that it would all be alright and that in the end everything would work out but I could't find my voice.
The door opened and all of our faces turned to it, hoping to hear good news but all our manager showed was concern and we went back to contemplating the floor.
"Have any of you heard from her?" her voice was thick with tension.
"No." My voice came out shaky and I cleared my throat. "What should we do?"
Before she could answer the CEO of Cube Ent. made his appearance and, lookong at us one by one, he broke the news.
"Sorn has decided to quit." our faces showed various states of shock, Sorn is - was? the vitamin of our group. It was thanks to her smile that we were able to wake up in the morning and keep training until late at night.
"Nevertheless the showcase must start now. Seunghee will sing her parts." His voice broke into my line of thinking and I opened my mouth, intending to explain that there was no way I was going to do that but his stare showed that he would not listen.
Holding back a sigh I stood up and gestured to the rest to do the same. Following the manager we started to navigate through the corridors and even though our cirst showcase was about to start all I felt was numbness. The crowd received us with an applause and a lot of murmurs and after grabbing our mics we sat moved into position, leaving Sorn's place empty.
After introducing ourselves we sang "Pepe", our debut song and "First Love" the song that gave it's name to the mini-album and soon it had ended.
We bowed and left the stage in a hurry to get ready for M! Countdown.
