"Opal" Mr Roberts had said.
Oh no am I in trouble?
It was my first day and I was already in trouble!
"Yes" I said quietly.
At this point everyone had left the classroom.
Mr Roberts shut the door and sat at his desk.
"Do you know how rude it is to speak that way to me" he said with an angry look on his face
"No sir" I said quietly.
He repeated himself louder.
I looked down at my feet and said "no sir" even louder.
I was scared, I had never been in trouble before.
"Young lady when you speak to me you face me" Mr Roberts said.
He was still angry and that had just made me even more scared.
I looked up at him and said "yes sir".
"Very well, you are to write lines." He said handing me a piece of paper and a pen.
"What about my next class?" I said.
"I will tell Mr Herman why you are not to go to English class today" Mr Roberts said.
He went to the white board and wrote "I mustn't speak that way to Mr Roberts."
I didn't want to write that, I didn't think I did anything wrong.
"You must write 500 complete sentences with a capitalized letter and a period at the end, I will be checking your work once you have finished" he said as he sat down in his chair.
Mr Roberts didn't have any students in his classroom for second period so it was just the two of us.
I started writing the first sentence, I noticed that Mr Roberts was reading a newspaper.
"Get back to work" he said when he had caught me staring.
I looked back down at my notes.
This was boring I didn't want to have to write notes.
He kept staring at me, what was his problem.
When I was finally finished writing my notes I went up to Mr Roberts and handed them in.
He looked at the paper for at least five minutes before he said I was free to go.
I grabbed ,y bag and headed to my locker.
I soon as I got out of his class I heard the bell ring.
I rushed over to my locker I wanted to be first to the mess hall for lunch.
I was so hungry.
Once again there were so many people gossiping.
My head was full of thoughts.
I quickly rushed over to the mess hall, and when I got there I was shocked.
