I'm so happy [Chapter]

With a small smile on your face, you scribbled in your journal. Brainstorming ideas for Dib, your best friend. You decided it was time to confess your affections to him, you couldn't help but hide your smiles when he gets happy.

Maybe you can take him to his favourite spot where you'll two can hang out, bring snacks like usual. Or wait until the evening where the full moon will take place. Or maybe-

You snapped out of your thoughts as Dib as standing beside you.

"Y/n, c'mon, it's lunchtime" He said.

You closed your journal as you got up and got ready. Dib as usual had his hands in his trench coat pockets, he recently gotten snake bites, and you couldn't help but to stare sometimes, it makes him look more.. Emo? Cool? Whatever but you love it anyway.

Swinging your cross shoulder bag on you two began walking to the cafeteria. Where You and Dib were talking about stuff, but you kept zoning out, still brainstorming ideas.

"You okay? You keep zoning out" He pointed out.

You nodded, but you knew anyways that he was gonna keep pressing you, you two never keep secrets from each other, as far as you know, you two hate secrets.

"Y/n, I know, you know, that I know something is bugging you, is it Zim?" He asked, a smile on his face.

You chuckled a little at his grammar, but you shook your head.

"It's not Zim, but..." You smiled sheepishly as you blushed, embarrassed.

"It's embarrassing.." You looked away, still a smile on your face, you can feel your ears heat up, you thought about how you're going to tell him that you had a crush, or most importantly that you're gonna confessed to this said crush soon. (Or obviously that its him)

"You know I won't judge you, right?" Dib said, reassuringly.

You nodded once more, and breathed in, well, here goes nothing.

"I- uhm" You chuckled, you stopped walking as you approached the cafeteria doors.

"I-I'm thinking of, well- Don't laugh but I think I have a crush on someone" You covered your face as you turned to Dib. "A-and I'm thinking of telling them that..I'm planning and everything" You stuttered.

Dibs face fell as his best friend, also long term crush, just confessed that they have a crush, on someone else. Why else would they tell him this? But most importantly, his mind went to if they do confess to their crush, they're probably not gonna have time for him anymore, and that probably scared Dib more. Dibs heart suddenly felt heavy, but still continued for his best friend.

"Well I hope they accept your confession" Dib said with a small sad smile, he placed his hand on your shoulder. "Whoever they are, That person is gonna be very lucky to be loved by you, I can tell already" He chuckled. You always gave more than the other person, no matter what. You can be mean and intimidating, but you are just as romantic, even though you try not to be.

"Thanks, I'm planning to tell them on Friday, when the full moon is out, I hope they accept my invitation, but I think I have other ideas" You said, lowering your hands from your face. You were obviously flustered from what he said, that the person is very lucky, and that person is lucky, Dib is that lucky person.

You regret telling Dib your plan of your confession so early. Everyday after that he seems like he dreads the day of Friday, and he keeps asking you who that person is, it's getting hard of using excuses. But tomorrow is the day you're gonna do it, it's been a long few days, but you think you're ready.
