Y/N's Point of View
Me and Toru has been dating for 4 years but his parents never liked me. They didnt accept our relationship because I dont pass their standards. But he told me not to worry. He will choose me no matter what.
But why?
" Y/N lets break up. " my boyfriend says then he turn his back, walking away from me and from the promises he made to me.
' I thought you'll fight for us with me? ' thats my question.
But I continued to work hard for my dream to be a lawyer one day. I did it in hope that maybe...maybe his parents will now accept me because I am a degree holder.
I got to see him again but my love for him is growing strong. The last news I heared about him is that he is now playing as a Setter in Argentina.
I am watching him play against Japan and I can see he is doing great.
' I am so proud of you, Toru. ' I told him, even though I know he'll never hear it.
One day, I went home and I received a letter. More like a wedding invitation. Its my last year in Law School and I am finally graduating when I heared the news that my first love is now getting married.
I opened the invitation.
We cant say I Do without You! So we are inviting you to the Wedding of
OIKAWA TORU & DAIKI SAKUNO
My heart broke into pieces. I waited for nothing. My sacrifices were for nothing. I am angry on how insensitive he is. He even asked me to be his Emcee?!
But neitherless, I attended. I became their emcee. And the day is today so I went to my bathroom, got ready while trying not to cry. When I arrived at the venue, I saw his old Teammates. They all knew our love story so they smiled at me, painfully.
Issei went to me and hugged me.
" How are you coping up? " he whispered as he rubbed my back.
" I'm fine. " i told him but he didnt buy it. Even Iwaizumi didnt. They all hugged me one by one until one of the Usher asked me to go with him. He leads me to where he is. The door opened and I saw the guy i am so much inlove with. He is wearing a beautiful dark gray suit. A small set of flower was in the pocket. He pulled me inside the room and closed the door.
I looked around and its only us inside the room. I tried to look away from him. Because its so painful.
Yes, I got to see him in a Suit but i never expected to see him marry someone else.
" Y/N " he called me. I look at him and tried to smile. He suddenly hugged me.
" I am so so sorry " he whispered to me as he cried in my neck. I rubbed his back and cooed him.
" I got her pregnant when we were still together. " he said making me freeze. I backed away, removing his arms around me as I look at him, not believing what he just said.
" W-what?! " i whispered as my tears kept on falling. My knees was now shaking as I slowly fall on my knees. He also kneeled infront of me as he tried to touch me but I pushed him away.
" I am so sorry " he just said.
" Where did I go wrong? " i asked him. He shaked his head trying to hug me again but I stood up and backed out.
" Y/N! " he said as he hugged me from behind.
" I am so so sorry. " he whispered as he tightened his hug on me. We stayed like that for a while. I know. This is the last time I'll be able to hug him so I'll just enjoy this moment.
I faced him and wiped his tears.
" I'll try to forgive you, O-oikawa-san. " I whispered as I look at him in the eye and hugged him.
" I'll try to be happy for you. I understand why you left me for them. You dont want to be like your Dad right? Thats what you always say to me. So I understand. " i whispered to him then I let go of our hug.
" Congratulations to your wedding! " i tried to be cheerful as I greet him. I then left the room crying. Outside, I saw Iwa leaning against the wall. He welcome me with an open arms.
" Shh..you'll get through this. " he whispered.
" Its so painful, Iwa. I-i...he promised me he will marry me but why is he marrying someone else? " i said as I cling to him. I asked him to bring me to the reception. I cant watch their wedding. I might break down.
After an hour, Yahaba, who is my partner of being an Emcee told me that their here already so I held the mic, readied myself and announced,
' Lets all Welcome, The Newly Weds! Mr and Mrs Oikawa along with their child! ' i announced as they enter the reception, Sakuno wearing my dream gown.
I tried not to cry. Why?!
I tried to be cheerful as I saw them walk to the stage hand in hand, so happy.
Yahaba hugged me and whispered,
" Everything will be fine, Y/N. Trust me. " he said as he also tried not to cry. Funny how the newly wed couple's emcee are their exes. Yes, Yahaba is Sakuno's ex boyfriend. They dated long before me and Tory started dating.
I smiled at him and thanked him as we did our best not to break down. After the wedding, me and Yahaba went outside the reception as they are still partying.
I went in the dark part of the balcony and there I saw Yahaba crying as he stare at the picture of Sakuno earlier.
" Its so hard, no? " i told him as I went beside him.
" Watching the love of your life marry someone else. Promising to someone else. Saying I Do to another man or woman. Its so painful. To watch them build the family we once dreamed to have. " i whispered as I drink my Tequila. He looked at me and hid his phone then drank his alcohol as he look inside, where the bride and groom is.
" I dont know what to feel actually. Its still not sinking to me that I already lose my first love. " he whispered as he cried. I hugged him and cooed him. We then faced the inside as we watch them have fun.
" I wonder if we'll also expirience that kind of happiness. " i asked him and he only laughed.
" Me too. " he said. We talked there until we are now needed for the Traditional Garter and Boquet tossing. I didnt planned to join and even Yahaba so we both sat in the side. We just watch them have fun then I left them.
When I said them. All of them, as I start my new life in Canada.
Years passed and here I am already a Lawyer.
' Fighting for every person's right but got lose in the battle of love before I even got to fight. '
