When Amelia flew down to the Helicarrier, she was unharmed but completely covered in dust from the rocky explosion. Tony, still clad in his suit, had engulfed her in a tight hug the second she landed. The woman returned it with full force, surprised that she had been able to survive that, let alone walk away unscathed. The fire within her was unimaginably powerful now and she didn't mind that. She just hoped she wouldn't have to do that again. She much preferred the teleportation and sentient fire soldiers.
"I guess we've both saved the world now, huh?" she chuckled, pressing her cheek into her brother's cold, metal shoulder. "What a long way we've come."
"Yeah, blast me with fire again and we're gonna have some problems," he joked. Tony pulled away from his sister to look at her fully. Yes, she was dirty and just a little bit tired, but there was now a new glow to her, a constant one that radiated warmth. "Seems you're impossible to kill now."
"Don't jinx it," Amelia laughed. "I actually value my life, you know."
In truth, she wasn't impossible to kill, but it had been made much harder. If her body had been as strong as steel before, she was now made of virtually unbreakable vibranium, and only a few could dare to take her on. She wondered if she was ever truly Inferno up until that point because this seemed to be her final, beautiful form.

The Avengers soon settled at a new facility in the outskirts of New York, tucked away amongst serene woodland. Their compound was definitely an eyesore from above, but seeing the buzz of activity on the inside brought a sense of hope to everyone. This was the perfect blend of the superheroes, scientists and soldiers that could contribute towards saving the world the next time it was threatened by an outlandish supervillain.
One of the first things Amelia had done after returning from Sokovia was comfort the newest member of their team: Wanda. It was ironic that a Stark was the person she chose to speak to, but the two, along with Vision, had all encountered the mind stone and it gave them something in common. After the loss of her brother, the Maximoff girl needed to know she wasn't alone, so both of them had been there for her.
The disappearance of the Hulk had also caused problems for Natasha. The woman was strong, but Amelia could see right through her charade. Clint returned to his home and Laura gave birth to a little Nathaniel, which was a small amount of happiness amongst Nat's grief. Once again, Amelia had been there for her friend. Her family. And she had no trouble doing so.
Things were ok. In fact, they were more than ok. Despite the years of fighting and losing, the team had always picked themselves back up again. Now, Amelia had a newfound sense of hope. She was exactly where she was meant to be doing exactly what she needed to do. While Tony would be heading off with Pepper and Thor would be returning to Asgard, there was no doubt that should the Avengers have to save the world again, they would all be right where they were needed.
Tony had pulled up into the garage of the compound to begin his farewells. It was the day we would be leaving his superhero life behind to lead something of a normal life with Pepper. Amelia was happy for them and she had made sure to tell him exactly that. He, in turn, made sure to tell her that she was always welcome to visit. In fact, he expected it. There was no separating the Starks forever.
"The rules have changed," Steve remarked as he walked with Thor and the siblings.
"We're dealing with something new," Tony agreed. They walked through the long hallway leading to the exterior of the compound, glass windows lighting it up.
"Oh, the Vision is artificial intelligence," he responded.
"A machine," Tony corroborated again.
"So, it doesn't count?" Steve inquired.
