Chapter 2

"Hey Nina." Said Rose appearing by her locker.
"Hey Rose, um just wondering, we're you with Theo by any chance last night? He wasn't returning any of my calls or texts." Nina said hoping Rose would lie, she already knew the answer and she didn't want to hear it.
"Oh...Right i'm sorry Nina yeah we were watching movies I think he turned his phone off"
"Okay it probably wasn't on purpose, wait, is that his hoodie?"
"Yeah he gave it to me because I was cold, here you can have it back though."
"No. Keep it." Nina shot her a glare and walked away.

"Theo!" Rose called after Theo seeing him a few metres away in the corridor. "Oh hey Rose what's up?"
"What's up? Are you kidding? Your girlfriend just came over to me asking if we were together last night, apparently you weren't answering her texts or calls?"
"What was I supposed to do answer every text she sends every 10 minutes?!"
"Yes- wait, are you serious? Every ten minutes?"
"Yes, look." Theo showed Rose his phone screen.

20:00 Missed Call

20:11 Text: Answer the phone xx

20:12 Text: Babe call me back
                   I miss you xxxxxx
"Wow that's excessive." Rose said astounded that she called him that much in a 25 minute window, "I told you, I have to go catch up with Adrian, see you later." Theo said walking off.

Rose had never felt so bored in her life sitting through science, all she could think about was how angry Nina looked when she noticed Rose wearing Theo's hoodie, sure he's Nina's boyfriend but Rose was his best friend, She spent the rest of the period wondering if they would break up because of it, the thought kind of made her happy, Nina was always trying to pull her and Theo apart until she thought about this for a while until she was knocked out of her daydream by someone throwing a pencil at her head, she shot round to see who it was, Daniel.
"Psst Rose."
"You don't have to whisper shout there's no teacher right now just talk Daniel."
"Meet me after class I want to talk."
Rose dreaded the thought of him asking her out, not that he wasn't cute it's just she had standards and he didn't meet them. Maybe she could avoid him, maybe he just wanted to ask about the homework? Who was she kidding? There was no point dragging out the inevitable, this was happening he was going to ask her out.
