Ps. they're in love

Chapter 3

Rose starts to panic a little as Daniel approaches her after class.
"Hey so can we talk?"
"Um yeah sure, so how boring was that lesson huh?"
"Yeah um actually I had a topic in mind." He laughed as he brushed his fingers through his blonde hair.
"Ok what did you want to talk about then?"
"I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me, on a date?"
"Oh a date? Um well i'm pretty busy for a while but i'll call you when i'm free, okay?" She was lying, she didn't want to go on a date but she was too afraid of Christina telling her she liked Theo and she didn't want to hurt Daniel he wasn't a bad guy, he wasn't the best, but he wasn't bad.
"Yeah, cool. See you later then."

Theo, who was watching them talk, turned to his friend Adrian, "Hey do you know what that was about?" Theo asked, "Yeah I overheard him saying earlier that he was going to ask her out." Adrian said eyeing Theo to see his reaction. "Oh.. Do you know if she likes him?"
"Not a clue. Why do you care anyway?" Adrian asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I don't care." He was lying, he suddenly felt weirdly overprotective although he had a girlfriend where Rose was concerned nothing else mattered.

Theo plunked himself beside Rose at lunch, he didn't say anything he just sat there.
"Okay Theo what's up, you're never this quiet."
"Nothing."
"Yeah that's believable."
"I heard Daniel asked you out."
"Oh. Um yeah he did."
"Did you say yes?"
"Not exactly.."
"What the hell do you mean not exactly?! It's either yes or no Rose." His tone was harsh.
"I said that I was busy for a while and I would call him." Rose said quietly, shocked at the way Theo spoke to her. He never spoke to her that way.
"Well are you going to?"
She stopped to think, "Yes, yeah I think I will." She didn't want to but she was mad at Theo for acting this way, plus he shouldn't be bothered it was her life and she could date who she wanted to, he did.
They ate in silence until Christina came over to sit with them, "Hey guys!" She said in her usual cheery manner, "Woah what's with the negative vibes over here?" She said in a joking way until she realised that something had actually happened.
"There aren't any negative vibes Christina we just have nothing to say to each other." Theo said through his teeth. "Yeah that's weird for you two what happened before I got here?"
"Did you know that Rose is going on a date with Daniel?" Theo says before Rose can say anything.
"No way are you serious?" Usually she'd be exited but she knew that Theo was acting different, he was acting jealous.
"Yeah I told him i'd call him when i'm free."
Theo gets up and leaves the table without saying anything, he had never behaved this way before and while Rose may not know what was bothering him, Christina sure did.

"You're wearing his hoodie." Christina said pointing out what should be obvious.
"So?"
"So? You're wearing his hoodie and you've just agreed to go on a date with someone else."
Rose froze, realising what she'd done, "He has a girlfriend he doesn't care."
"Who are you trying to convince here? and even so, you've known each other forever of course he cares."
Christina was going to continue on a rant but then the bell rang for next period.

Daniel was in Rose's next class, she'd taken off Theo's hoodie and put it in his locker, she was still pissed at him for being so controlling, plus she couldn't tell Daniel she would go on a date with him when she was wearing someone else's hoodie that's just wrong.
"Psst Daniel." She whispered to him in class, "I'm free Saturday."
He grinned, "Good, i'll pick you up at 5."
"Where are we going?"
"To see a movie."
She was not looking forward to this, people are supposed to look forward to dates but she was dreading it. A movie? People kiss at movies and Daniel was the last person Rose wanted to kiss, well maybe not the last but he wasn't exactly at the top of the list.

Sorry this is also a short chapter but Chapter 4 will be longer I promise.
