Two best friends fall in love what else is new?
Theo and Rose have been best friends since they were babies and have also been in love since then. How can everyone else see it except for them?
Rose's Pov I start doing my makeup for my date tonight, I don't know why, I don't even want to go but I can't let Christina act like she knows everything and act like Theo and I are in love or something. We're not, we're friends and we've always been friends. *Knock Knock* I look over to my window where I hear knocking and I see Theo, I want to be angry at him and close my blind but I can't, He just looks sad, that's all. I tell myself. I go over and open the window and he climbs in. He walks over to my bed and sits down playing with one of my hair bobbles. "So... Are you really going on this date tonight?" He says quietly. "I don't see why I shouldn't. Do you?" "Yeah, I see why you shouldn't." "Care to enlighten me?" I say frustrated at him. "Rose what are you doing? You don't like this guy, why are you going out with him?" "How do you know I don't like him?" "I know you." Who does he think he is? "You don't like him Rose." "Yes, I do." I don't. "Stop lying!" He was yelling now. "I'm not lying Theo! And why do you even care?!" "Because I care about you Rose!" "If you cared about me you wouldn't be trying to ruin my chances of moving on!" He stopped yelling, "Moving on from who?" I looked down to my feet, how the hell am I supposed to get out of this? "Moving on from who?" He repeated. "Nobody it doesn't matter Theo now you have to go i'm leaving soon." "Right."
My mum calls me down to tell me Daniels pulled up in the drive. I'm about to go outside to meet Daniel but then my mum stops me, "Honey what were you and Theo talking about upstairs?" She asks with a concerned look on her face. "You were eavesdropping?!" "No of course not but it was to ignore when you were both yelling." "It's nothing." "Is he jealous?" "No why would he be I wasn't when he went on his first date with Nina." She eyes me, I can tell she's internally laughing. When Theo first started dating Nina I wouldn't leave my room for a week, strangers started sending condolences flowers to the house thinking I was dead. Daniel rings the doorbell and after a few minutes of small talk we get going to the movie, he picked a romance, surprise surprise.
The movie's a boring cliche. Theo would never have chosen a movie like this. Half way through the movie Daniel starts to speak, "So this movie blows." I don't say anything, not wanting to be rude I just laugh. "Hey want to go somewhere more interesting?" Yes, finally. "Where were you thinking?" "C'mon i'll show you." He grabs my hand and takes me back to his car. I don't recognise where we're driving at all, all I can see are fields. Omg is he going to murder me?This looks like somewhere out of one of those murder documentaries. We eventually stop by a field and it's quite pretty here. He gets out of the car and starts climbing over the fence. "Are you coming or not?" He asks, eyebrow raised. I don't reply I just get out of his car and follow him. Once i've climbed over the gate I see a bench swing in the middle of the field, I wonder how he knows his place and if he was the one who put the swing in it.

We sit down on it and he starts to say something but stops himself. "What is it?" I ask. "It's just, is Theo okay with you being here?" "Theo? Why wouldn't he be?" "I don't know but I just thought seeing as he likes you and everything.." Why does everyone think he likes me? "Theo doesn't like me he has a girlfriend." "Right but how often do you actually see them together?" "Well he's busy." "Yeah, with you." "Excuse me?" "Look, did he support you when you said you were going out with me tonight or not?" "No but-" "Exactly," he cut me off, " Just because he has a girlfriend that does not mean he doesn't like you." I'm getting angry why does he think it's any of his business? "None of this is any of your business." "Yes it is, i'm on a date with you aren't I?" "Well as far as first dates go this is the worst one i've been on." I stand up to storm off but then he grabs my arm and stands up next to me, "Rose i'm sorry." He says and then he begins to lean in, I panic realising he's about to kiss me and push him away. "What's wrong with you?!" "Rose i'm sorry you weren't saying anything!" "So you thought you'd kiss me?" "I'm sorry.." I storm off before realising I had no way of getting home Crap I call Theo asking for him to pick me up and sent him my location.
"So i'm assuming the date didn't go so well?" He said smirking after he started driving. "Wow how could you tell?" "What went wrong?" I didn't want to talk to him about it but it would be easier to prove my point when he denies it so I explain what Daniel said about him liking me. "Oh." "Yeah, and he's wrong. Right?" Please say yes. I'm met with silence, what's wrong with him today?
Theo's Pov I can't help but be happy that the date was bad, of course I want her to be happy but not with him, I don't know why she even went on this date I told her that she didn't like him. She's so stubborn. My phone starts to ring, "Rose can you get that for me?" "Sure, hello? Oh hey Nina!" Shoot I was meant to go out with her tonight. "Oh. I'm sorry he was just picking me up from a lousy date- well of course I understand he's your boyfriend. What no of course I won't!" She hung up. I clear my throat, "What was that about?" "Apparently you were supposed to go out with her tonight, you're her boyfriend and I should back off because she's more important." I look at her eyes, wow her eyes are beautiful, she looks so sad. I feel myself getting angry, how dare she think she's more important than Rose, nobody is more important than Rose. She's my everything, she's my weakness.
