Since readers were split down to the middle on whether Lita should stay with her father, Darth Vader, or not, I ended up deciding on that Lita does separated from her father, but it's unintentional. Since my knee is still healing and I couldn't go back to work, which is a real pain in more ways than one, because I already missed over a week of work, I had time to write this chapter.
I also want to know what do you think of Lita having a Force Dyad with Ezra and if you think I should keep it.
After Lita got all of her stuff and Rori and Deethreepio ready to go, she put the hood of her black cloak over her head and left her quarters, when she was met by her father.
"Are you ready to go?" Vader asked.
Lita shook her head. "No, I can't do this. I don't want to be separated from you. Please Father, let me fight!" Lita begged.
"No!" Vader boomed, "You are not ready to fight these Rebels. You will most likely be killed."
"But I was able to help deal with those Rebels on Lothal," Lita argued.
"And they were a Jedi, a youngling, a Twi'lek, a young Mandalorian, a Lasat and an old C1-series astromech droid," Vader responds, then speaks in a gentle tone to her, "Lita you are still young and still have much to learn. I cannot risk you being captured or killed by these Rebels. Do you understand?"
Lita slowly nodded her head, "I do Father."
"Come with me," Vader then told her, and she followed him with Rori and Deethreepio following them.
Eventually they got to one of the escape pods and Vader looked it over. Then he turned to look at Lita and gently placed his massive gloved hands on her shoulders.
"Now listen my daughter," Vader spoke, "I don't know what the outcome will be, but either way I will return for you."
Lita, trying not to cry, threw her arms around her father and hugged him as tight as she could. "I love you Father," Lita whispers.
Underneath his mask Vader gave a small smile and slowly wrapped his arms around his daughter. "I love you too, my daughter," Vader said softly.
Father and daughter then reluctantly let go of each other. Lita looked at her father one last time before getting into the escape pod with Rori and Deethreepio, who were already inside.
Darth Vader watched as the escape pod was launched. This was the first time he and his daughter had been separated since he'd found her over a year ago when she was fourteen. His heart ached at the very idea of never seeing his daughter again.
When Palpatine allowed Vader to train his daughter, he saw the girl as nothing more than a pawn, a shiny plaything that he could replace Vader with. But Darth Vader knew better, he knew that Lita would never hurt him and that she grew to love him as he loved her, despite her attitude at times. His daughter was his own flesh and blood and he wasn't going to let anyone near his precious girl.
Angrily, he pushed all traces of the sentimental thoughts away. Now was not the time to go soft. There was work to be done. When it was complete Vader would come for Lita.
Meanwhile Lita was in the escape pod with Rori and Deethreepio, she was looking out towards her father's ship, the further she was the smaller it got. Lita hoped that her father would be okay and that she would see him again. She knows that he did technically kidnap her from her home Naboo and she didn't like being kept in isolation on planets, like Vjun and Mustafar, but at the same time their bond had grown more stronger over time and the training under her father has helped her become stronger. Lita also still strongly believed there was good in her father, and knew there was conflict in him.
But then Lita frowned to herself as she thought to herself that with The Emperor around it won't last forever. After all she knows that The Emperor is not one for sharing power and she remembers what Qui-Gon Jinn told her that he only wants to have one apprentice at his side, which means he will most likely try to make Lita and her father fight each other. No. The Emperor had to go. She had to find out how to save her father from The Emperor and from his darkness and she was determined to do it. But Lita knew already knew that she couldn't do it on her own and she had to get stronger to fight.
Lita had no idea where she and her companions were going, but hopefully it will give her time to think of something. The planet that the escape pod was heading to was none other than Lothal.
In the next chapter, Lita officially meets The Ghost Crew. I would also like to know what lightsaber color she should get. But of course she will still be keeping her red lightsaber with her. Until then my readers, May the Force Be With You!
