Upset

"I should've just bought the whole grocery for you." Ran laugh as he examine the cart full of foods and necessities.

It's almost an hour since you both started roaming aroung the grocery. The employees around gave us look of curiosity and full of questions.

Probably amazed to see Haitani Ran pushing a cart with a girl beside him. Who would imagine a guy like him accompanying someone at grocery.

You paid no mind to the people around you. It's better to not give them another idea. They probably think I'm someone special to Ran.

That's not a good sign. They might use me as leverage against him. It's better to be safe and distant. Getting involve with someone dangerous is disadvantage for commoner like you.

Prevention is better than cure, they say.

"I seriously have no stocks left in the house." you chuckled reasoning out.

"That goes without saying."

"By the way, do you want anything?" you ask before approaching the cashier.

You look at the tall man beside you, waiting for an answer. But Ran was gawking at you, almost lost in his inner thoughts. By the looks of him, it seems like he have something he wated to say but chose not to.

"Ran?" you called his name.

"None." he shook his head and avoided your stare.

You let it slip and just proceed to the cashier. Ran let you do the rest, he just leans on the side waiting for you to finish.

The whole atmosphere was dead silent. Some were watching us, some don't even have the guts due to fear. While Ran was just standing not even bothered by the people staring at him.

You were almost done. Ran signaled someone to put the grocery bags at his compartment. This is indeed too flashy for your liking. Attention and spotlight can be quite uncomfortable to bear.

Before you even give your credit card for the bill, you saw Ran handed a black card to the cashier.

You instantly grabbed his one hand that was up on the air.

"Hey, I can pay." you said in annoyance.

"I clearly know that, y/n." Ran smiled while nodding, assuring you.

"I'm paying." you warned the cashier who was confused watching us.

You also handed your credit card, Ran also did not backed down. But to your surprise the girl took Ran's card instead of yours.

She immediately swipe the card before you can protest. When you look at her, fear was very evident in her eyes. Even her hands were shaking, trembling to be exact.

You look at Ran who was smiling to the cashier. You shut your mouth. If you complain more the girl might collapse in panic and terror.

Of fucking course, he threatened her with just one look. Just one look from Bonten's executive member can make someone tremble and command to their biddings.

"Let's go. Sanzu must be upset." Ran guided your shoulders to the exit.

The people once again bowed down before we exit. You just gave them a small smile to acknowledge them. Hoping that they got the hint you were trying to convey.

"Upset, why?" you ask Ran when both of you finally got out.

Ran clicked his keys.

"I wonder too."he grinned.
