Aiden and I pulled into the driveway about twenty minutes later spending the whole car ride getting drilled by Aiden with details of my conversation with Adam. As soon as we got inside I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out and saw Adam’s name light up across my screen. A smile crept up my face and I bit my lip to keep the giggle I was suppressing from escaping.
I ran up to my room and hung up my jersey in its rightful place in my closet. I opened up my messages and scrolled to the one from Adam.
From: Rico
Hope you got home okay. The weather has been pretty bad recently, I feel like it will never stop snowing!
I couldn’t stopped smiling if I wanted to. He saved his name as Rico in my phone.
To: Rico
Yah the roads weren’t too bad but thanks for the concern, Rico ;)
I clicked send and wait for a response. If someone had told me this morning that I would texting Adam Henrique I would have called them insane.
From: Rico
I’m really glad I met you today. We should get together again soon.
I could hardly believe what I was reading. He wanted to hang out again?!
To: Rico
Well I have rotations at the hospital a lot of the time (the struggle of medical school) and you have hockey so it will be a balancing act. But I would love to meet up.
Pressing send I waited for his response.
From: Rico
You’re in med school?! How did we not talk about that?!
I laughed to myself. I had forgotten about that, but I would rather not get into this without seeing his reaction in person.
To: Rico
That’s a topic for the next time we meet. We should meet up after one of your practices.
From: Rico
Sounds good to me. I have a game tomorrow though.
That’s cute. Like I didn’t know about the game tomorrow.
To: Rico
I know. I’m a huge Devs fan, I know when the games are. I have to go eat dinner. Ttyl
From: Rico
Ok. Talk to you soon!
Little did Adam know that I had tickets to the game tomorrow with my two best friends. All of a sudden I couldn’t wait for tomorrow.
