With Zyshah

3RD POV

Zyshah stood at the door, bored out of her mind, she was a guard that was positioned outside the meeting room that the King of her lands was meeting with Kings and Queens of others, so the wyvern was very surprised when she had been chosen to guard the doors.

Her king didn't trust wyverns, no one did, and they had very good reasoning behind it, most wyverns in the history books where the bad guys, unloyal, and horrible, however these things haven't been proven, as the wyvern they test are always provoked into acting that way, I guess the dragons just needed a strong villain, and wyverns where suitable.

Zyshah doesn't hate the dragons, don't get her wrong, she likes them, she just hates the fact that her kind are found to be the villains, the evil ones only out to rampage and destroy the leaders, who just so happened, so all be dragons.

Dragons were stuck up dicks, but of course, her mother, and brother where the reason she was okay with them, and put up with how her section leader treated her, being the only wyvern under his belt, it was obvious who the favourites and least favourites were. The Dragon on the other side of the door snarled, his low patience getting the best of him, he and Zyshah had been standing there for hours, occasionally hearing their king, and other rulers screaming at each other.

It was idiotic, the way they ran the world, this would definitely end up with their king in a horrible mood and one of the rulers storming out. Zyshah had just thought that as the Queen of the neighboring kingdom slammed the doors open, smoke trailing from her nostrils in pure, utter anger. She turned her head towards me ad the guard, snarling at us, causing us both to move to bow as quickly as our bodies allowed us too. Seeming content with our speed, the queen turned, still pissed as she moved away quickly.

After she was out of sight, I leant over slightly, wanting to try get on the good side of the dragon whose name slips my mind.
"Wonder what kind of tree is up her hind this morning"

His eyes widened as he brought his hand up and coughed to hide the laugh, turning to me, he spoke, obviously trying hard not to laugh.
"you should.... not speak that way about a queen..*quiet snort*, they are very noble, calm and nice dragons"

I tried my hardest not to laugh, standing up I held my spear straight, well, as straight as a non straight Wyvern could. I could slightly hear moving in the room behind us, apparently just because Queen Maridoa left, the meeting was surely over. First came King Aman from the kingdom on the opposite side of the world, lucky he was one of the dragons in the world with the most stamina. the rest followed shortly after. Our king was the last to exit, quickly motioning for us to follow.

He was a tyrant, but I serve him so I did not end up like past wyverns, in pieces, and very much dead. Did not sound like a good, nice and fun way to go. Apparently however, from rumors around break room, wyverns had been popping up more and more, and all quickly submitting, now working for the king.

Of course, Zyshah was already in the know about the movement of slowly making dragons slowly more and more accustomed to wyvern company, meaning they would soon become welcomed members of society. It was all they wanted, to be accepted.

The dragons however, did not like the ever growing known wyvern population, they have become more and more hostile, going as far as making prices for normal things such as food higher whenever it's a wyvern purchasing.

You may wonder how they know we are wyverns in humanoid form, it's because we have a differently shape to dragons, Their wings didn't have the flap of hard scales with a singular claw for walking like we did, so It was pretty obvious.

My tail was currently drooping down as a sign of submission towards the king, my wings tightly pressed against my back just like the guard next to me. Turning, the king looked us over a couple times before dismissing my partner. "Zyshah, follow me"

Following behind him, he asked me "Zyshah do you know why I asked you to walk with me?" I thought it over, not figuring anything out, I shook my head no "no, my king I do not"

"It's quite simple really, I want information on why the population of adult wyverns is growing exponentially, and I expect you to give me those answers" oh no, this could only end badly, either me fired, or the King being mad and assigning me extra tasked for the next 5 months.

I could either tell him and get fired or extra work because he may think I am apart of the group, or I could lie and say I don't know, and also risk getting fired, just will have to be how I approach it.

"My king, the only other Wyvern I have ever met in my life was my father, but sadly he passed when I was only a hatchling, I wish I could give you more information, but I lack that knowledge." With a bow, I spoke, hearing the sigh of disappointment, obviously, he can't punish me if he thinks I've only ever met one other wyvern, I think that was a pretty good lie right there.

"Alright, thank you, you are dismissed, go home, rest for tomorrow, you start at 8am sharp and the doors of block A, we have a visitor who requested my bravest guards, one of which is you, fly to it." I bowed, I was going to guard one of his special guests? exciting, just wait till my little bro hears about this!

As I made my way out of the hallway the king was in, I realised what I had done. I lied. To the king... If he found out, my Wyverns head would hang on his wall, that does not sound fun, at all. I made my way down the large hallways.

The hallways of the castle were big enough for two, fully grown adult male dragons to walk down side by side, in full dragon form. they were massive, but then again, my form takes up more room for the fact I have to use my wings to walk, bloody annoying.

Walking out of the castle through the humanoid door, I smiled as I watched some dragons walking with there pet humans and fledglings, and the eggs they carried in some baskets, it was cute. I would have loved to start a family with my future wife, but of course, currently I know of no lesbian dragons who are okay with wyverns, quite biased if you asked me not gonna lie.

I kept walking down the sidewalk, nodding in respect to fellow guards and warriors, and retired guards and warriors. Seeing my home coming up in the distance, I sped up to a speed walk, wanting to get home as soon as possible.

My family wasn't allowed to live in the city because of the fact we have Wyverns, but were allowed into the city, and my brother is a dragon so he could move out once he finds a mate of his own and starts gaining an income, then they would stop fighting all the time, my parents would be so happy with not having to deal with us.

I was just about to put my house key into the lock on my door I was blinded by a startling bright white light, jamming my eyes shut until it died down. Slowly I faced the direction the glow came from, I saw four bodies lying on the ground, and they were NOT dragons or Wyverns...
