"Wake up, we're here." A calming quiet voice said to me as I felt a light gentle touch on my back.
I lifted my head slowly and looked around, a large building sitting infront of us. "Where are we?" I asked, rubbing my eyes, still out of it.
"We're at school." Nick chuckled, getting out as I still tried to wake myself up completely. He walked around the car and opened the door, offering a hand to help me out.
Still being drowsy, I took his hand and carefully steped out of the car and jumped down. About fully conscious, I grabed my backpack from the floor of the car.
"Morning sunshine, didn't get much sleep last night, I assume?" He let me go, walking beside me as I walked towards the school.
"I guess not." I chuckled stupidly. Honestly, I didn't know why I was so tired, guess just overwhelmed maybe. Either way, I was still excited for school, nothings changed.
I casually walked to the main entrance, stumbling here and there, slowly finding my balance once again. I hated that i was so tired on my first day, but I didn't let it get to me too much.
"Can you show me where everything is?" I asked Nick as he walked beside me. I slowly found my footing as I looked over at him.
"Mm, if you can keep up. I don't want to walk like a turtle all day." He chuckled as he ruffle my hair, walking a bit faster to get the door for me.
There was some other kids entering the school, but I think we were a little early. Normally it was much more crowded than this.
I couldnt help but bow my head as I walked past Nick, he was so big and scary. I felt like if you looked at him for more than a second he would punch you in the face.
I took a deep breathe when I pasted him, building up the courage to ask him a question. "W- what's the first class?" I said, all my attention directed to the ground.
He cleared his throat before speaking, then looked around a bit, "That depends on what classes you have. It varies, some people have math, others-"
Before he could finish, someone came up behind us, talking in a almost british accent, "See? Now this is why we have to keep our school clensed, rats with show."
I suddenly felt a hand push the middle of my lower back, causing me to lose my balance. I quickly fell, and brased myself for the pain afterwords, but it never showed.
My eyes opened in confusion when I realized that someone had caught me. I didn't know who, or why, but my mind went straight to Nick so I got up quickly, looking at the figure.
And oh boy was I wrong. Infront of me stood a tall man, and oh my was he cute, no, hot. I'm not one to question my sexuality, but he made me feel things.
We locked eyes for a moment, me being completely unable to move. He had such soft features, not like Nick who almost always had a scowl on his face.
"O- oh I'm so sorry, it- it wont happen again." I bowed, not being able to hold eye contact much longer.
He suddenly placed his hand on the back of my head, pulling my hair so my head lifted, causing me to gasp and wince in pain. "Damn right it won't." He said sternly.
Suddenly I wasn't much of a fan of this man anymore. Infact I was terrified of him. That was until he smiled and swiped the tip of his nose with his thumb, "I'm joking, names Chris"
After that his whole diameter changed. He just seemed like a nice guy. Did I fully trust him? Well, to an extent of not with my life, but that's fine. Right?
Well I couldn't leave him hanging, so I extended my hand politely, still unsure of what he would do. "My name is Charlie. It's nice to meet you."
That was me trying to be confident, did it work? "Ha, ok." He took my hand, sparks and electricity shooting through my body as I stiffened. Nope.
Then a thought ran through my head. Where's Nick? Quickly I looked around, Chris's hand still in mine.
"Dangit." I hissed through my clenched teeth as Chris let my hand go. "I'm sorry, I have to get to class."
"Aren't you new? I can help you get there." That's when the bell rung, guess I had no other choice.
I smiled and played with the bottom of my t-shirt. "Yes, thank you. I really appreciate it."
Chris gladly took my hand in his again and began to walk with me, hand in hand, quickly to get to class. Never in my life had my heart beat so loud before, I thought I was dying.
I was stumbling as I tried to keep up. I got a few looks but that didn't bug me, let them judge.I mean I was certainly judging myself.
Here I was, hand in hand, with a guy. A male, same gender, boy? Any of those ring a bell? What if I said I'm a boy as well?
This didnt add up, but how could he do it so casually? It was like he does this everyday. "Oh god, are you gay?!" I blurted out, almost without hesitation.
"Huh?" He stopped and glanced at me, letting my hand go. "No, I'm not. But good luck trying to keep up with me, without holding my hand"
He began to speed walk again, and, as he hinted, I couldn't keep up. I blushed and kept my head low as he slowed down a bit, still gaining 'Aws' and 'Oos' from the little bit of people at the lockers that saw the event take place.
So thats pretty much how my first day went. Not much more happened, just boring classes and being dragged around.
