Dobby's elongated fingers dug into Hagrid's hair, massaging his dry scalp with his thin fingrrnails.

"Mmmmhhh," groaned Hagrid. "That feels wonderful, Dobby, thank yeh."

Dobby grinned in excitement.
"Anything for you, Mr. Hagrid, sir," Dobby squeaked.

Dobby's fingers curled tighter around Hagrid's thick, dark curls, locking the elf in place as he began to breakdance intensely, his head unmoving and emotionless as his body revolved wildly around it.

"Arrrrrr, Dobby, careful there. Wouldn't want to plummet from such a heigh,'" Hagrid murmured, one arm clutching the hippogriff, the other slipping liquid down his front.

"Dobby used to do this for former Master Draco," Dobby replied evenly. "Dobby is somewhat of an expert at this now!"

Hagrid looked taken aback. "Sleigh'," he said uncertainly.

Staring ahead at the rising sun and fighting hard to keep them high up in the air against the hippogriff's natural instincts to skim its feet against the water while a certain student screamed loudly on its back, Hagrid could do nothing as the pressure on his head suddenly relinquished.

Whirling, Hagrid bellowed, "DOBBY!" at the sad little silhouette falling through the morning mists, and out of sight.

"SOBBY!" Hagrid screamed, sloshing more liquid down his front. He banked the hippogriff hard to where he'd last seen the little elf.

Shooting down through the clouds, his heart in his throat, Gagrid kept screaming Dobby's name.

"DOBBY!" He screamed. "DOBBY!" He bellowed. The hippogriff loosed a similar cry, full of loss and grief.

Hagrid broke through the cloud barrier, an immediately scanned the air below for the house-elf's forlorn form beneath him.

"Master Hagrid?" Came a voice near his ear.

Hagrid whirled one hundred and eighty degrees on the hippogriff, allowing his hair to steer the wild magical creature into a leveled-out glide, wings extended.

And there, like an angel straight from one of Hagrid's drunken dreams, was Dobby, his magnificent ears flapping him in the air.

"DOBBY!" Hagrid roared, feeling a mixture of relief and anger. "DON'- WHY DID YEH DO THA'?"

"Dobby is a master of aerial acrobatics," Dobby said, doing a neat flip.

Hagrid pulled the hippogriff up next to the house-elf and tenderly took the house-elf's knobby fingers in his. Dobby promptly stopped flapping his ears and dangled, prone in a stiff straight line, from Hagrid's thick fingers, as heavy as a boulder and utterly at the half-giant's mercy.

Hagrid pulled the house-elf up by the hands so they could stare deeply into each other's orbs.

"Dobby... I can't imagine life without you," he murmured, slipping liquid on his front.

Dobby flexed his legs so they were overextended and wrapped his toes around Hagrid's broad shoulders, sighing in happiness.

"Me neither, master Hagrid. Me... neither." Dobby began to breathe slowly and deeply, then smacked his dry lips against each other repeatedly.

They were now inches apart. Hagrid could count every wrinkle on Dobby's face.

Then Dobby bridged the gap, sliding his abnormally long and elastic nose to the side of Hagrid's face as their lips touched gently, Dobby's feet still clutching Hagrid's shoulders, all four arms vertical in the air.

Hagrid pulled back slightly, then loosed a booming laugh that reverberated in Dobby's skull.

"Dumbledore, great man, great man, always did tell me you were a phenomenal kisser," Hagrid whispered.

"Dumbledore hasn't seen the half of what Dobby can do," Dobby said, winking suggestively.
